- In episode 101, Number 96 uses this card during his Duel against Astral. He sends this card from his hand to the Graveyard in order to Special Summon "Malicevorous Fork" via its own effect. Number 96 then activates the effect of "Malicevorous Spoon" to revive this card. Number 96 then overlays this card, "Malicevorous Fork", and "Malicevorous Spoon" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 96: Dark Mist". Later Number 96 detaches this card in order to activate the effect of "Dark Mist". In the next episode, Number 96 Normal Summons a second copy. He then activates the second copy's effect to revive the first copy. Number 96 then overlays both copies in order to Xyz Summon "Number 65: Djinn Buster". When Astral tries to activate the effect of "Number 39: Utopia" in response to "Dark Mist" attacking it, Number 96 detaches a copy in order to activate the effect of "Djinn Buster". Later Number 96 detaches a second copy in order to activate the effect of "Djinn Buster" again.

Number 96 then activates the effect of "Malicevorous Spoon" to revive this card. After Number 96 Xyz Summons "Chaos Number 96: Dark Storm" via "Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force", all Overlay Units of "Dark Mist" are attached to "Dark Storm".
