  • It is optionally activated when this monster is Normal/Special Summoned face-up. (Can be activated in the Damage Step.)[1]
  • This effect does not target.[1]
  • Halving this monster’s ATK and Special Summoning a Clock Token happen simultaneously.[1]

Q&A Rulings

  • Q: When I Normal or Special Summon "Clock Wyvern" and activate its effect, "Book of Moon" is chained. In this case, what happens if "Clock Wyvern" is in face-down Defense Position when its effect resolves?
A: If "Clock Wyvern" is in face-down Defense Position when resolving its effect, you cannot apply the part of the effect that halves its ATK, so you do not Special Summon a Clock Token.[2]
  • Q: I activated the effect of "Clock Wyvern" when it was Normal or Special Summoned, and its ATK was halved and a Clock Token was Special Summoned. Afterward, if "Skill Drain" is activated and the effects of "Clock Wyvern" are negated, what happens to the effect of "Clock Wyvern" that was applied?
A: If "Skill Drain" is activated after the effect of "Clock Wyvern" resolves and its effects are negated, the effect that halved its ATK is no longer applied and its ATK returns to its original value, but the Special Summoned Clock Token remains on the field normally.[3]
