Mentions in Other Rulings
- If the second direct attack is declared by the same monster that performed the first direct attack, then you cannot activate "Confusion Chaff".[1]
- For example, when "Mataza the Zapper" or "Cyber Twin Dragon" perform two direct attacks, you cannot activate "Confusion Chaff".
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[2] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - "Combo Master" must be face-up on the field when the chain occurs in order to be able to attack twice. If a chain occurs, and then this monster is flipped face-down and then face-up again, it cannot attack twice. (Unless a new chain occured after it was flipped face-up.)
- If a chain occurred, then "Skill Drain" was activated, but then "Skill Drain" was destroyed, this monster can attack twice. (This monster's perception that a chain occurred is not reset.)
