OCG Rulings
- This card's effect that increases a monster's Level is an Ignition Effect. (It targets 1 Level 4 or lower monster existing face-up in your Monster Zone.)[1]
- You can also target "Cyberse Synchron" itself with its own effect.[1]
- If the targeted monster is in face-down Defense Position when the effect resolves, its Level is not increased.[1]
- This card's effect that prevents a monster in your Extra Monster Zone from being destroyed by battle or card effects is not classified as an Ignition, Trigger, Quick, or Continuous Effect. (It can be applied during the Damage Step.)[1]
Q&A Rulings
- Q: I activated and applied the effect of "Cyberse Synchron" on itself, and its Level is currently 2. In this situation, if my opponent activates "Skill Drain", and the effects of "Cyberse Synchron" become negated, what will its Level be?
- A: In this scenario, if the effect of "Skill Drain" starts applying after the effect of "Cyberse Synchron" resolved, the increase to its Level still applies. (It does not matter if the effect targeted "Cyberse Synchron" itself or another monster.)[2]
