OCG Rulings
- The effect of this card that increases its ATK and prevents your opponent from targeting other monsters for attacks and with monster effects is a Continuous Effect.[1]
- The effect of this card that increases its Level is a Trigger Effect. (It does not target, and can be activated during the Damage Step.)[1]
- This effect can be activated when either you or your opponent activate an “F.A.” Spell/Trap Card.[1]

Q&A Rulings
- Q: "F.A. Whip Crosser" and "F.A. Turbo Charger" are face-up in my opponent’s Monster Zone, and the effect of "F.A. Turbo Charger" that prevents me from targeting monsters with the effects of monsters that have a lower Level/Rank is applying. In this situation, if I activate the effect of "Paleozoic Anomalocaris" that destroys a card on the field, which of my opponent’s monsters can I target?
- A: "Paleozoic Anomalocaris" has a Rank lower than the Level of "F.A. Turbo Charger", so the effect of "F.A. Turbo Charger" is applied when you activate its effect. ("Paleozoic Anomalocaris" is unaffected by monster effects, but that part of the effect of "F.A. Turbo Charger" is applied normally.) In this scenario, when you activate the effect of "Paleozoic Anomalocaris", you can only target "F.A. Turbo Charger". (You cannot target "F.A. Whip Crosser".)[2]
