TCG Rulings

• This effect targets the "Fortune Lady" monster in your Graveyard.

• If a "Fortune Lady" monster you control battles another monster and both are destroyed, you cannot activate the effect of "Fortune Lady Dark".

• If "Fortune Lady Dark" is not face-up when a "Fortune Lady" monster you control destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you cannot activate this effect.

• If the "Fortune Lady" monster that destroys an opponent's monster by battle is not face-up when the monster is sent to the Graveyard, you cannot activate this effect.

Mentions in Other Rulings

• Time Passage: If you activate "Time Passage" targeting your Level 5 "Fortune Lady Dark", and then reduce it by 3 for the effect of "Solitaire Magician", it's Level would become 2 during the End Phase (5 + 3 - 3 - 3 = 2).

OCG Rulings

• The effect that Special Summons 1 "Fortune Lady" monster from your Graveyard is a Trigger Effect. (It targets 1 "Fortune Lady" monster in your Graveyard.)

• This effect can optionally be activated at the end of the Damage Step in which a "Fortune Lady" monster you control destroyed an opponent's monster by battle.

• This effect cannot be activated if a "Fortune Lady" monster you control battles an opponent's monster with the same ATK and both monsters are destroyed.

• Q: While you control "Fortune Lady Dark" and "Fortune Lady Earth" in Attack Position, if "Fortune Lady Earth" attacks and destroys an opponent's face-down Defense Position "Desertapir" by battle, and the effect of "Desertapir" changes "Fortune Lady Dark" or "Fortune Lady Earth" to face-down Defense Position, can you activate the effect of "Fortune Lady Dark"?

A: If "Fortune Lady Dark" is changed to face-down Defense Position by the effect of the opponent's "Desertapir" that was activated after damage calculation, you cannot activate the effect of "Fortune Lady Dark" that Special Summons 1 "Fortune Lady" monster. Also, if "Fortune Lady Earth" is changed to face-down Defense Position by the effect of the opponent's "Desertapir" that was activated after damage calculation, you can activate the effect of "Fortune Lady Dark" that Special Summons 1 "Fortune Lady" monster.

• Q: If a "Fortune Lady" monster destroys an opponent's monster that you own by battle, can you activate the effect of "Fortune Lady Dark"?

A: Even if the monster that was destroyed by battle with a "Fortune Lady" monster is sent from your opponent's field to your Graveyard, you can activate the effect of "Fortune Lady Dark".

• The effect that changes this card's ATK/DEF is a Continuous Effect.

• The effect that increases this card's Level is a Trigger Effect. (It does not target. It activates once during each of your Standby Phases.)

• Q: If "Fortune Lady Earth" etc. changes its Level by its own effect, and its effects are negated by "Skill Drain" or "Forbidden Chalice", does its Level return to its original value?

A: If "Fortune Lady Earth" etc. is affected by the effect of "Skill Drain" or "Forbidden Chalice", its Level returns to the original value listed on the card.

• Q: If the Level of "Fortune Lady Light" is already 12, does the effect that increases its Level activate during your Standby Phase? Also, can its Level be increased to 13 or higher by other card effects?

A: Even if the Level of "Fortune Lady Light" is already 12, the effect that increases its Level activates during the Standby Phase of your turn. However, since its Level is already 12, the process that increases its Level is not applied. Also, even if its Level is already 12, its Level can be increased to 13 or higher by other card effects such as "Synchro Boost".
