OCG Rulings
- The card "Greed" can be activated at any time, except during the Damage Step.[1]
- The effect "Each time a player draws cards because of a card effect, they take 500 damage during the End Phase for each card drawn by the card effect." makes a Chain Link. (This effect does not target.)[1]
- While "Greed" is face-up, if a card is drawn by a card effect, during the End Phase of this turn this effect will activate and create a Chain Link. (Cards drawn before the card "Greed" is activated are not counted.)[1]
- The effect "Each time a player draws cards because of a card effect, they take 500 damage during the End Phase for each card drawn by the card effect." will only activate once during each End Phase. (Even if each player drew cards with a card effect this turn, the effect only activates once, and both players are treated as taking damage simultaneously.)[1]

- The effect of "Greed" only applies to cards drawn while "Greed" was active. If "Jar of Greed" is chained to "Greed's" activation, "Jar of Greed" (Step 2) resolves and you draw 1 card for "Jar of Greed" before "Greed's" effect (Step 1) was active, so no damage is inflicted during the End Phase. But if you chain "Greed" (Step 2) to "Pot of Greed" (Step 1), then "Greed" is active before "Pot of Greed" resolves, so the activator of "Pot of Greed" takes 1000 damage from "Greed".
