OCG Rulings
- This card's effect that increases the ATK and DEF of a Dragon-Type monster on your field starts a Chain. (It can only be activated during your Main Phase.)[1]

- Q: "Macro Cosmos" is face-up in my opponent's Spell & Trap Zone, and its effect that banishes any card that would be sent to the Graveyard is applying. In this situation, if my "Guardragon Agarpain" would be destroyed by my opponent's "Dark Hole", can I apply the effect of "Guardragon Shield"?
- A: In this scenario, even if your Dragon-Type monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect while the effect of "Macro Cosmos" is applying, you can apply the effect of "Guardragon Shield". In this case, "Guardragon Agarpain" is not destroyed by your opponent's "Dark Hole", but the Normal Monster that would be sent from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard is banished instead.[2]
