OCG Rulings
- The effect "When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Heroic Challenger - Double Lance" from your hand or Graveyard in face-up Defense Position" is a Trigger Effect. (It does not target.)[1]
- The effect "You can Special Summon 1 "Heroic Challenger - Double Lance" from your hand or Graveyard in face-up Defense Position" can optionally be activated when "Heroic Challenger - Double Lance" is Normal Summoned face-up.[1]
- The effect "You can Special Summon 1 "Heroic Challenger - Double Lance" from your hand or Graveyard in face-up Defense Position" cannot be activated when "Heroic Challenger - Double Lance" is Normal Summoned by the effect of an "Ultimate Offering" activated as Chain 2 or higher.[1]
- "This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster" is not treated as an effect.[1]
- "This card cannot be used as an Xyz Material, except for the Xyz Summon of a Warrior-Type monster" is not treated as an effect.[1]
