Q&A Rulings

A: The effect of Matching Outfits is one that reveals the top card of both players’ Decks. Therefore, in this scenario, if either player has no cards in their Deck when Matching Outfits resolves, the effect disappears. (Neither player reveals a card.)[2]
A: In this scenario, "Matching Outfits" resolves while the effect of "Imperial Iron Wall" that prevents players from banishing cards is applying. If the top cards of both players’ Decks is the same card type (Monster, Spell, or Trap), they are added to the hand normally, but if they are not the same type, those cards remain on the top of the Deck. Furthermore, if the effect of "Imperial Iron Wall" is already applying, "Matching Outfits" cannot be activated.[3]
