Q&A Rulings

  • Q: Can I Special Summon "Performage Trapeze Magician" with the effect of "Performage Trick Clown", also is damage taken by the effect of "Performage Trick Clown"?
A: You can Special Summon "Performage Trapeze Magician" with the Trigger Effect of "Performage Trick Clown". Its ATK and DEF will become 0, also the monster effect of "Performage Trapeze Magician", ""You never take damage if the amount is less than or equal to this card's ATK.", is not applied yet and you will take 1,000 damage as usual from the effect of "Performage Trick Clown".[2]
  • Q: "Temple of the Mind's Eye" is face-up in my Field Zone, and "Performage Trapeze Magician" is face-up in my Monster Zone. In this situation, if my opponent's "Earthbound Immortal Uru" attacks directly, how much battle damage do I take?
A: In this scenario, the 3000 battle damage that would be inflicted by "Earthbound Immortal Uru" becomes 1000 due to the effect of "Temple of the Mind's Eye". Furthermore, since 1000 is less than the ATK of "Performage Trapeze Magician", the effect of "Performage Trapeze Magician" is also applied. In other words, you take no battle damage from this attack.[3]
