Card Rulings:Planet Pollutant Virus
TCG Rulings
- You can Tribute a face-down Alien to activate “Planet Pollutant Virus”.[1]
- Placing A-Counters on monsters does not start a chain.[1]
- If 2 copies of “Planet Pollutant Virus” are active, their effects are both applied, so each monster Summoned by your opponent gets 2 A-Counters.[1]
- You can activate “Planet Pollutant Virus” even if your opponent controls no monsters, or controls only monsters with A-Counter.[1]
OCG Rulings
- If multiple copies of "Planet Pollutant Virus" are activated, each effect is applied. When a monster is Summoned, it gains two A-Counters.[4]
- You can activate "Planet Pollutant Virus" when your opponent does not control any face-up monsters without A-Counters.[5]
- Placing an A-Counter does not start a Chain. When a monster is Normal/Flip/Special Summoned, the effect is applied and the monster gains an A-Counter.[6]
