Card Rulings:Raging Flame Sprite
Contents
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[1] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - The +1000 ATK lasts as long as "Raging Flame Sprite" remains face-up on the field. "Raging Flame Sprite" can continue to get +1000 ATK each time it successfully attacks directly (becoming ATK 1100, then ATK 2100, etc.).
- The effect of "Raging Flame Sprite" is resolved after damage calculation and before Flip Effects are resolved (so the timing is the same as "Don Zaloog" and "Airknight Parshath").
- If "Raging Flame Sprite" is equipped with "Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce", its ATK will increase by 1000 points after each successful attack ("Raging Flame Sprite" must still deal at least 1 point of damage with each attack for its effect to apply). So the second attack will be with +1000 ATK, and it will gain another +1000 ATK after the completion of the second attack.
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Cybernetic Magician: If you target a "Raging Flame Sprite" that currently has 3100 ATK with the effect of "Cybernetic Magician", at the end of the turn its ATK will return to 3100 points, not 100.
Out of Date
- The effect of "Raging Flame Sprite" is a Continuous Effect that cannot be chained to.[Notes 1]
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Divine Wrath: You cannot chain "Divine Wrath" to Continuous Effects such as..."Raging Flame Sprite" (either effect)...[Notes 1]
Notes
- ↑ a b The newest errata of this card has Problem-Solving Card Text which shows this card's second effect is a Trigger Effect and not a Continuous Effect.
