  • The effect that is applied when the activation of this card resolves is the effect "Your battling monster's ATK becomes equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster it is battling, during that damage calculation only, also the controller of a monster destroyed by that battle takes damage equal to their destroyed monster's original ATK at the end of the Damage Step". (It does not target.)[1]
  • Inflicting damage to the controller of a monster destroyed by battle equal to their destroyed monster's original ATK at the end of the Damage Step does not start a Chain Link. (If both your monster and your opponent's monster are destroyed by battle, both players are treated as taking damage at the same time.)[1]
  • The effect that banishes this card from your Graveyard instead of the destruction by battle of your "@Ignister" monster can be applied in the Graveyard and does not start a Chain Link. (You choose whether or not to apply this effect during damage calculation when an "@Ignister" monster in your Monster Zone would be destroyed by battle. This card is banished after damage calculation.)[1]
A: Even if your monster and your opponent's monster have the same ATK, you can activate "TA.I. Strike" during damage calculation. If you do, the effect is applied as usual, and your monster's ATK becomes equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster it is battling during damage calculation only and the controller of a monster destroyed by that battle takes damage equal to their destroyed monster's original ATK at the end of the Damage Step.[2]
