Card Rulings:Two-Pronged Attack
Contents
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[1] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - "Two-Pronged Attack" targets 2 monsters you control and 1 monster your opponent controls. Destroying 2 of your monsters is not a cost.
- A Quick-Play Magic Card and Trap Card can be activated even during Battle Phase except for the Damage calculation[Notes 1], if its timing for activation is right. During Damage calculation, you can
onlyuse a Quick-Play Magic Card Trap Card that modifies the ATK and/or DEF.[Out of Date 1] Also during the Battle Phase, Replay occurs only when the number of monsters is changed. Therefore, in this case, Replay is triggered when you activate this card during Battle Phase.[Q&A]
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Elemental HERO Wildheart: This card is unaffected by the effects of Trap Cards, but it still may be the target of Trap Cards. For example, you can activate "Two-Pronged Attack" and target your "Elemental Hero Wildheart" [sic], another of your monsters, and the opponent's monster. When "Two-Pronged Attack" resolves, the other 2 monsters will be destroyed. "Elemental Hero Wildheart" [sic] will remain on the field.
- My Body as a Shield: "My Body as a Shield" will negate cards such as..."Two-Pronged Attack"...
Notes
- ↑ Damage Step was also known before as "Damage calculation" step.
Out of Date
- ↑ A new ruling from Official Rulebook repeals this one.
