Card Rulings:Victory Viper XX03
Contents
OCG Rulings
- This card's effect is a Trigger Effect that activates in the Monster Zone. (It activates mandatorily.)[1]
- It activates at the end of the Damage Step in which this card destroyed an opponent's monster by battle. However, it cannot be activated if both monsters are destroyed by battle.[1]
- When this effect is activated, choose 1 "●" and activate this effect as that "●" effect.[1]
- When you activate the second "●" effect, you also choose the target at that time.[1]
- Destroying the "Option Token" Special Summoned by the third "●" effect if this card is no longer face-up on the field does not start a Chain Link.[1]
- "Option Token" has no original Type, Attribute, Level, ATK, or DEF.
Q&A Rulings
- Q: I control in my Monster Zone both a "Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom" that gained the name and effect of "Victory Viper XX03" and an "Option Token" that was Special Summoned by the gained effect. During the End Phase, when the effect of "Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom" stops being applied, its name returns to "Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom", and it loses the gained effects, what happens to the "Option Token"?
- A: It remains on the field. Also, its Type, Attribute, Level, and ATK/DEF are always the same as "Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom".[2]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[3] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise.
