Card Tips:Begone, Knave!
- This card can be searched by "Pharaonic Advent", "The Despair Uranus", and other generic searchers.
- By using this card alongside "Tyrant's Temper", only the opponent's monsters will be returned to the hand.
- While this card's effect can potentially be strengthened with "Degenerate Circuit" (resulting in banishing, instead of returning monsters), "Des Counterblow" by itself can achieve a similar effect, except by destroying the damaging monster instead.
- This card's effect can be useful for monsters that have typically one-time-use effects, such as "Artifact" monsters, "Breaker the Magical Warrior", "Card Guard", Flip monsters, and Trap Monsters, by allowing them to be Summoned/Set again, but only if they can manage to inflict battle damage to the opponent.
- This can work incredibly well with 2 copies of "Raidraptor - Last Strix", with each copy being able to Special Summon itself from the hand when the other copy battles, easily leading to an OTK if they can continue inflicting battle damage.
- This can be more easily accomplished with monsters whose effects make the opponent's monsters leave the field, such as "Artifact Moralltach", "Nightmare Penguin", and "Penguin Soldier".
- This card can benefit monsters that become weakened as a result of battling, or monsters that would leave the field during the End Phase, such as "Gaia Soul the Combustible Collective", "Goblin Attack Force", "Majestic Mech - Ohka", "Spear Dragon", Spirit monsters, etc.
- This also works well for monsters that are affected by "Infected Mail".
- "Spring of Rebirth" can be used to take advantage of this card's effect, increasing the player's LP by 500 each time a monster is returned to the hand.
- This card's effect can serve as very efficient removal against Decks that heavily rely on Summoning monsters from the Extra Deck (other than Pendulum Monsters).
- This card's effect can work well with monsters that Tribute the opponent's monsters to Summon themselves (to the opponent's field), such as "Lava Golem", "Volcanic Queen", and "Kaiju" monsters, since they can be Summoned again by Tributing more of the opponent's monsters.
- Combined with "Remove Brainwashing", a more pro-active approach can be taken, in case the opponent doesn't attack with those monsters.
- This card can work well in Decks whose monsters can easily Special Summon themselves from the hand, such as "Blackwing" Decks ("Blackwing - Bora the Spear" and "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind") and "Six Samurai" Decks ("Grandmaster of the Six Samurai", "Great Shogun Shien" and "Legendary Six Samurai - Kizan").
- Since this card's effect returns monsters to the hand, it can work well with discarding effects, such as "Card Destruction", "Dragged Down into the Grave", and "Robbin' Goblin", to prevent those monsters from being Summoned again.
- This card's effect can work well with a monster with low ATK that can attack multiple times per Battle Phase, while being unable to be destroyed by battle (either directly by a card effect or by changing the opponent's monsters to Defense Position. A theoretical combination might be "Machine Lord Ür" equipped with "Mist Body".
- Alternatively, a monster with an effect that Special Summons itself (or another monster) when destroyed by battle can achieve the same result, such as "Mystic Tomato".
