• This card can be searched by "Diced Dice", "Quick Booster", "Spell Calling", "Miracle of the Supreme King", "Mecha Phantom Beast Jaculuslan", and other generic searchers.

• Counter the possible negative effects of this card with "Prime Material Dragon", "Rainbow Life", or "Black-Winged Dragon".

• Unlike its namesake "Mystical Space Typhoon", this card can't be countered via "Stardust Dragon" and similar effects since it is not guaranteed to destroy anything.
  • This fact also means that this card never targets anything upon activation, rescuing it from "Mystical Space Typhoon's" arguably greatest weakness (in that the card you chose to destroy may easily be Chained in response, causing the effect to be wasted).

• Use "Dice Re-Roll" beforehand, in case you roll an unwanted number.

• Having "Damage Mage" in your hand when you activate this card can be a helpful backup. If you roll a 1 or a 6, "Damage Mage" will allow you to restore the damage you received as well as Special Summon itself, possibly turning a bad situation into a good one.
