Card Tips:G.B. Hunter
- This card can be searched by "Reinforcement of the Army", "Double Dai", "Promotion", "Dragodies, the Empowered Warrior", "Red Sparrow Summoner", "Warrior Lady of the Wasteland", "Arcana Extra Joker", "Wake Up Your Elemental HERO", "Infernoble Knight Captain Roland", "Puppet Pawn", "Iron Knight", "Freed the Matchless General", "Field-Commander Rahz", "Giant Rat", "BOXer", "Frontline Observer", "Soul Rope", "Resonator Engine", "Vampire Dragon", "Summoner Monk", "Primathmech Alembertian", "Battle Royal Mode - Joining", "Umbramirage the Elemental Lord", "Sangan", and other generic searchers.
- In addition to the ability to counter the effects of just the Gladiator Beasts as the name would suggest, other popular cards like "Phoenix Wing Wind Blast" and "Raiza the Storm Monarch" are effectively shut down by this card. It can also hinder Neo-Spacian Decks since their strategy relies mainly on "Contact Fusion".
- This card is useful against a Gishki Deck, since it will stop effects of Monsters like "Gishki Zielgigas" and "Evigishki Soul Ogre" from working.
- "Inverse Universe" will permanently switch this card's 1200 ATK with her 2000 DEF. After using that Trap, use "Gaia Power" to give her and other EARTH Monsters another 500 ATK.
- Be wary of powerful cards your opponent might use that are required to return to the Deck or Extra Deck. Of the Gladiator Beasts, only "Octavius" will benefit from not returning to the deck. If you are fighting "Neo-Spacians", do not summon this card if "Neos Force" or a Neos Fusion is on the field.
- This card can stop "Majestic Star Dragon" and "Majestic Red Dragon" from returning to the Extra Deck.
- You can pair this card with "Heart of Clear Water" to ensure it'll stay on the field longer. "Mist Body" is also recommended.
- Use this card to keep your Neos Fusion monsters on the field if you don't have a "Neo Space" out. If you want to Contact Fuse another monster, you can use "Interdimensional Matter Transporter" to temporarily banish it from the field.
- However, be careful on the timing on the card play as well. Play "G.B. Hunter" too soon and you'll be forbidden from using your contact fusions as well.
- This card can prevent the "Timelords" from returning to the Deck.
- If you can Special Summon this card during your opponent's turn and keep it on the field until the End Phase, its effect can negate the major drawback of "A Wild Monster Appears!", allowing the likely high-Level monster you Special Summoned to remain on the field.
- Cards like "Dimension Gate" and "Different Dimension Gate" can be used to banish this monster, then during your opponent's next End Phase after using "A Wild Monster Appears!", you can destroy them with "Mystical Space Typhoon" to return this card to the field.
