- This card can be searched by "Obsidim, the Ashened City", "Priestess of the Ashened City", "Extinguishing the Ashened", "Awakening of Veidos", "Infernal Flame Banshee", "Mystic Potato", "Mystic Tomato", "Ahrima, the Wicked Warden", "Chaos Zone", "Chaos-End Master", "Umbramirage the Elemental Lord", "Sangan", and other generic searchers.
- Because "Veidos the Eruption Dragon of Extinction" can be Summoned to the opponent's field fairly easily, you can do so to setup this card's effect to Summon an "Ashened" monster from the Deck, including the likes of "Hero of the Ashened City" to destroy the now-opposing "Veidos", "Spearhead of the Ashened City" to return "Veidos" to your hand for future use, or "Priestess of the Ashened City" to gather more cards to your hand to use/Summon.
- While "Veidos the Eruption Dragon of Extinction" and "Obsidim, the Ashened City" are in your hand, you can activate "Obsidim" and then use the effect of "Veidos" to Summon itself to the opponent's field and destroy "Obsidim". This triggers the effect of "Obsidim" to Special Summon an "Ashened" monster from your Deck, allowing you to Summon this card and use its own effect to the fullest.
- "Awakening of Veidos" allows you to do this with a single card, by placing "Obsidim" in your opponent's Field Zone to add "Veidos" to your hand.
