To make this monster a pretty formidable attack force, you can swap this card's ATK/DEF stats with cards such as "Inverse Universe", (this card will make the swap permanent) "Shield & Sword" and "Weapon Change".
- Additionally, you can use this card with the "Crashbug" archetype. Special Summoning all 3 "Crashbug" cards will be easy with their effects and support cards such as "Crashbug Road" (which you can also take advantage of using this card's effect), then Xyz Summon into this card. After using this card's effect three times, you can remove the 3 "Crashbug" cards from play to Special Summon "Super Crashbug", turning this card into an offensive force.

Use this card against "Gravekeeper's" to gain control of "Descendant" or "Assailant".

In a "Six Samurai" Deck, summon easily this card with two "Legendary Six Samurai - Shinais" and one "Legendary Six Samurai - Mizuho", two "Mizuhos" and one "Shinai" or one "Mizuho", one "Shinai" and one "Legendary Six Samurai - Kageki" .

This card is part of a card combo with "Infected Mail" and "Cracking". Activating those two spell cards while this card is on the field allows you to take control of a Level 4 or lower monster your opponent controls, let it attack your opponent directly with "Infected Mail", then destroy it, activating "Cracking's" effect, inflicting 800 damage to your opponent.

Taking control of your opponent's monsters with "Possessed Dark Soul" can provide a good supply of Xyz Materials to Xyz Summon this card. You can also use "Stygian Dirge" as a way for "Possessed Dark Soul" to take control of more common Level 4 monsters.

"Don Turtle" can potentially bring out all necessary Materials for this card, if all copies of it are in the hand.

After you use this card's effect to take control of one of your opponent's monsters, equip it with "Vengeful Servant" so you can inflict more damage to your opponent when the targeted monster returns to your opponent.

Using "Harmonic Waves" in combination with this card to use its effect on your opponent's higher Leveled monsters.

If you control a Level 3 monster on your side of the field, you can Normal Summon "Marauding Captain" and use its effect to Special Summon another Level 3 monster. Then you can Xyz Summon "Terror-Byte" from your Extra Deck.

Have 1 Level 3 Tuner and 2 Level 3 non-Tuner Monsters. Then, Synchro Summon "Mist Wurm" and activate it's effect. Then, use "De-Synchro" and Xyz Summon this card.

You can easily get this monster with a Level 3 monster with 500 or lower ATK, like "Cyber Kirin" or "Black Salvo", and "Machine Duplication" in order to Xyz Summon this card.

There is no restriction on the usage of the controlled monsters you steal, unlike cards such as "Mind Control", so you can Tribute them for a stronger monster, or use them for a Synchro/Xyz Summon for yourself.

Normally, your opponent would Normal Summon a Level 4 or below monster to Xyz Summon, so at a point where they would summon their second material in the same turn, use "Flying "C"" to trap their monsters on the field. Then, use this card to take control of the stronger monster, and have it destroy the weaker one.
- OR, if the monsters are both of equal strength, take control of one of them and then ram it into the other, leaving your opponent with 2 less monsters if not none.
  - While you have "Flying "C"" still on your opponent's field, you can use "Number 47: Nightmare Shark" to attack your opponent directly, while still leaving them unable to Xyz Summon.
    - It would be a good idea to also include "Number Wall" into this strategy, because your "Numbers" would be immune to being destroyed, while your opponent would be unable to summon a "Number" to get rid of "Number Wall".

A strategy for quick summoning of this card is to Normal Summon "Tour Guide From the Underworld", which will allow you to Special Summon any Level 3 Fiend from your deck/hand ("Tour Bus From the Underworld" is a good idea), then, use "Mimimic" to Special Summon itself from your hand, then Overlay all three to summon "Terror-Byte".
A trio of "Gilasaurus" can help summon this monster quickly, even using the drawback of "Gilasaurus" to your advantage by snagging one of the opponent's revived Level 4 or lower monsters to use for yourself (especially if you haven't used your Normal Summon for the turn yet).

Have 1 Level 3 Tuner and 1 Level 3 non-Tuner Monster. Then, Synchro Summon "Goyo Guardian" and destroys Level 3 monster and activate it's effect. Then use "De-Synchro" and Xyz Summon this card.* Have 1 Level 3 Tuner and 2 Level 3 non-Tuner Monsters. Then, Synchro Summon "Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" and activate it's effect. Then, use "De-Synchro" and Xyz Summon this card.
