"One-Eyed Skill Gainer":
  • If you want to use this card's effect more than once, you can flip it face-down and then Flip Summon it, using cards like "Book of Moon". "Book of Moon" can also save this card from opponent effects.
    • Even though this card can give you another opportunity to absorb another effect, it will remove an Xyz Material. This will give you even less chance to use that stolen effect.
  • This card combos well with "Wind-Up Zenmaister", allowing it two more uses after two turns.
  • Since it copies the effect of Xyz Monsters, the remaining two Xyz Material can be used for the effect copied by "One-Eyed Skill Gainer".
    • e.g. "One-Eyed Skill Gainer" uses one Xyz Material to copy the name and effect of "Number 39: Utopia", then the remaining two Xyz Materials can be used to activate "Utopia's" effect of negating attacks.
    • e.g. "One-Eyed Skill Gainer" uses one Xyz Material to copy the name and effect of "Number 19: Freezadon" and the remaining two Xyz Materials can be use to fuel other Xyz Monsters on your field.
    • e.g. "One-Eyed Skill Gainer" uses one Xyz Material to copy the name and effect of "Evolzar Laggia", and the remaining two Xyz Materials can be used to negate an opponent's Spell Card, Trap Card, or inherent Summon.
  • You can also use this card against Xyz Monsters that have useful passive effects that don't require any Xyz Material.
    • e.g. "One-Eyed Skill Gainer" uses one Xyz Material to copy the name and effect of "Bujintei Susanowo", thus allowing this card to attack all of your opponent's Monsters.
    • e.g. "One-Eyed Skill Gainer" uses one Xyz Material to copy the name and effect of "Gaia Dragon, the Thunder Charger", giving this card a Piercing Effect.
  • One interesting idea would to have your own spent Xyz become the target by switching it to your opponent with "Creature Swap" or another similar card. With this, you will gain a 2500 Attack monster with that monster's effect and two additional times to use it.
  • Use this card's effect to copy "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon's" effect, granting you a monster with at most 3500 ATK. It will, however, restrict it's ability to attack directly, so use "Overlay Regen", "Xyz Unit", or other related cards as a supplement to bypass that restriction.
