- This card can be searched by "Photon Lizard", "Reinforcement of the Army", "Photon Orbital", "Galaxy Photon Dragon", "Number 90: Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord", "Photon Change", "Chaos Space", "Infernoble Knight Captain Roland", "Iron Knight", "Arcana Extra Joker", "Freed the Matchless General", "Field-Commander Rahz", "Gaia, the Polar Knight", "Exchange of Night and Day", "Lyna the Light Charmer, Lustrous", "Toy Soldier", "Photon Veil", "Chaos Zone", "Resonator Engine", "Primathmech Alembertian", "Vampire Dragon", "Witch of the Black Forest", and other generic searchers.
- Special Summon this card while or knowing "Skill Drain" will be activated. That way this monster can attacked even if there are other monster(s) on your field.
- Special Summon this card, then Summon another Warrior-Type monster and Xyz Summon for "Blade Armor Ninja" who can attack twice.
- "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon"can easily be Special Summoned by Special Summoning this card from your hand while there are no monsters on your field, and then Normal Summoning a monster with 2000 or more ATK (e.g. "Photon Crusher" or "Alexandrite Dragon").
- It may be a better idea to XYZ summon "Starliege Photon Blast Dragon" rather than directly tribute two cards. The on-summon effect will bring out "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" nonetheless, and "Starliege Photon Blast Dragon" will protect "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon".
- If your opponent activated "Torrential Tribute" after your Normal Summon is already used, this card can be Special Summoned and be able to attack directly.
- The effect of "Zubaba General" can be used, so that "Photon Thrasher" is not a dead draw.
- This card can be used with another Level 4 "Photon" monster to Xyz Summon "Starliege Lord Galaxion". Then detach one or two material(s) to bring out a "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon". Even if "Galaxion" is sent to the GY, use "Xyz Reborn" to revive it and allow an extra "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" to be on the field (provided if there is one in your hand to begin with).
