Card Tips:Reversal Quiz

  • If one's LP is low enough, and cards like "Black Pendant", "Fuhma Shuriken", "Guerilla Kite", "Volcanic Scattershot" and/or "Xyz-Raypierce" are sent for this card's activation cost, it can be possible to finish off the opponent with those cards' LP-damaging effects (after this Spell's effect resolves), assuming the opponent's new LP is low enough.
    • "Clashing Souls", "Performapal Popperup", "Wall of Revealing Light", "Zexal Alliance", and the effect of "The Winged Dragon of Ra" are viable ways of lowering one's own LP drastically with a single card effect.
    • While the following individual cards do not lower one's own LP by much, they have the benefit of also thinning out the Deck: "Contract with Don Thousand" and "Toon World" (the latter supplemented with the Deck-thinning "Toon Bookmark" and 3 copies of "Toon Table of Contents", typically used to fuel the effect of a "Royal Magical Library").
    • "Extra-Foolish Burial" can halve one's LP to send "Garura, Wings of Resonant Life" from the Extra Deck to the Graveyard (whose effect can allow the player to draw a card), but at the cost of being unable to Set any cards during the turn it's activated, which can potentially conflict with cards such as "Card Destruction" or "Performapal Popperup" (which may require Setting some cards to avoid the negative aspects of their effects).
    • Alternatively, if one's Deck is constructed with the intention of drawing all its cards in a single turn, "Afterglow" can be activated after the last card is drawn, ensuring that the Deck's top card is a known Spell Card, with the extra benefit of inflicting 4000 game-winning damage during the player's next turn.
      • If this strategy is chosen, "One Day of Peace" can be a viable addition, since not only does it help thin the Deck, but "Afterglow" only inflicts damage during the player's next turn, thus avoiding the damage-prevention effect of "One Day of Peace". Furthermore, it will prevent the opponent from winning the Duel through battle damage in the meantime.

Traditional Format[edit]

  • If attempting to lower one's LP to inflict game-winning damage after successfully resolving this Spell's effect, "Chicken Game" can be a viable addition for this strategy, because while it only reduces one's LP by 1000, it rewards the player with a drawn card. Furthermore, its damage-prevention effect is rendered irrelevant, since "Reversal Quiz" will send it to the Graveyard for its activation cost.
    • This can be supplemented with "Pseudo Space", which can mimic the effect of "Chicken Game".
