Card Tips:Wind-Up Zenmaintenance
- "Rescue Cat" makes this card easy to summon with "Wind-Up Rat", "Wind-Up Kitten", or "Wind-Up Dog" from deck. Try to avoid using Rat for this, since Rat can't revive copies of itself.
- Starting with "Wind-Up Rat" in hand, a card that can revive it from the GY ("Monster Reborn", "World Legacy Succession", "Ayers Rock Sunrise", etc.), and two Wind-Up monsters in the GY:
- Normal Summon Wind-Up Rat and activate its effect, reviving one of your Wind-Up monsters.
- Use them to Link Summon Wind-Up Zenmaintenance, search "Wind-Up Factory", and activate it.
- Use your revival effect to summon back Rat. Activate Rat's effect again, chaining Wind-Up Factory, and search Wind-Up Shark. When Rat's effect resolves, Special Summon the Shark by its own effect.
- Activate Zenmaintenance's last effect, banishing Rat face-down and summoning another Rat from deck.
- Activate the new Rat's effect, summoning your last Wind-Up from your GY.
- The result of this combo is Wind-Up Zenmaintenance, Wind-Up Rat, Wind-Up Shark, two other Wind-Ups, and Wind-Up Factory on field. From here, you can summon any combination of generic Link Monsters and Rank 3-5 Xyz Monsters.
- A defense position "Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir" works well with Link Monsters.
- If you use "Tornado Dragon" and "Artifact Dagda", you can destroy your own "Wind-Up Factory" and set "Artifact Scythe" from deck during your End Phase. Then, on your opponent's turn, immediately activate Tornado Dragon and destroy your own Scythe, locking them out of the Extra Deck for a turn.
