Card Trivia:Embodiment of Apophis
- This monster is based on "Apophis", or Apep, a demonic personification of chaos in Egyptian mythology, often depicted as a massive serpent. According to mythology, Ra, the sun god, battled Apep at the end of each day, before returning to the east in the morning. Natural phenomenon like earthquakes and solar eclipses were believed to be moments when Apep temporarily overwhelmed Ra, plunging the world into chaos until the sun god freed himself from the serpent.
