Card Trivia:Leviair the Sea Dragon
- Oddly, despite its serpentine appearance and its Japanese name containing the kanji and furigana used for the Sea Serpent Type (
海 竜 Kairyū, "Sea Dragon"), this monster is not a Sea Serpent nor a Dragon monster.
- This card's name, "Leviair", is a combination of "Levitation" and "Air".
- It may also be based on the Leviathan, a sea monster referenced in the Tanakh, or the Old Testament.
- This monster could be based on Quetzalcoatl ("feathered-serpent"), a deity of the Aztec mythology.
- The kanji Koku (
虚 空 , "Empty-Space") in this card's Japanese name may be a reference to this card's effect of Special Summoning banished monsters on the field.
