Are they lasers?

I'm not actually sure if the gun is edited in Pole Position, because to me, the muzzles (or whatever, I'm not really a firearms guy, so I don't know if that's what they're called on a tank) are so small that it's difficult to see if they've been edited or if it's just a result of the card's coloring being warmer or perhaps the light conditions when the card was scanned making it look that way.
