Forum:"Genesis Star God"?

I've posted this under the card's Talk page already, but I thought I'd repost it here where it's a bit more visible:

I'd like to point out that 創星神 is a bit of a pun, or a play on words (Discworld reference unintentional).

The Creator's name is most unambiguously "The Creator," but note that its name is written in kanji - 創世神, literally "Creator God." Read without the helpful furigana ザ・クリエイター to let us know the intended reading, it comes out as そうせいしん ("souseishin"), which the sharp-eyed will note is exactly the reading given in furigana for 創星神. Yes, they're both pronounced "souseishin," but with different middle kanji: The Creator's is "world," while Sophia's is "star."

For the record, 創世記 does connote "the book of Genesis." But considering the similarity in names, plus the obvious play on words, I'd like to suggest translating 創星神 as "Star Creator" or some such. (Especially considering, you know, that Sophia is quite clearly a goddess.) "Sophia the Celestial Creator" has a nice ring to it. :3--Ryusui (talkcontribs) 09:32, February 25, 2012 (UTC)
