I have this doubt, i control a monster; and i declare an attack with it, at this time my oponent activates mirror force, in the same chain i activate forbidden lance to protect my monster, and he activates fiendish chain in respose, so here is the question, since fiendish chain succefuly resolves when my monster is still unnafected by the forbidden lance, do my monster attack get negated? "fiendish chain succefuly resolves BEFORE", not "WHEN", so the mons attack already stopped.-- (talkcontribs) 22:38, January 9, 2014 (UTC)
Lance protects the monster from S/T that are already affecting it, so Chain wouldn't be affecting it anymore, so I don't see why the attack is stopped. DexxIsBack (talkcontribs) 05:21, January 14, 2014 (UTC)
At the time "Fiendish Chain" resolves, part of its effect is "it cannot attack". This will prevents attacks even if the targeted monster is already attacking ("Vain Betrayer" is one such example). So, once "Fiendish Chain" resolves, the monster stops its attack. Then "Forbidden Lance" resolves, making the monster unaffected by "Lance". But this doesn't make the attack continue, since it was already stopped. You can't make the attack start up again. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 05:31, January 14, 2014 (UTC)
