why is there an anime description of a card and another description of a card? the anime description is way better, example, Life Stream Dragon's effect is downgraded in the the TCG card description...why couldnt they just use the anime description, since its way better, and a whole lot cooler!?? the same goes for Bubbleman, Elementary hero Divine Neos and many other cards...and some cards which appear in the anime and manga don't appear in the TCG, like Burst Impact, Ragnarok and Stardust Mirage...i understand the situation for complicated cards such as Cursed Twin Dolls(It would be pretty hard in programming the effect of that card), but the ones i mentioned above are real simple, does anyone know the reason for this??

The anime description is the effect in the anime. The effect is the real card's effect.BobaFett2 (talk)

i know that dude...you are not answering my question, please read carefully, thanx--196.25.255.218 (talk) 13:43, August 9, 2011 (UTC)

Your question is "why". I answered "why". There are two different descriptions-the "correct" on is the TCG one. If the card only appears in the anime and manga it will not have a normal description section.BobaFett2 (talk)

So that the game doesn't get stupidly overpowered. I wish bubbleman had his anime effect, but a 1 for 2 card like that is easy to pull off in the first turn. E Call anyone? As for life stream, it's effect is better imo. The anime one gets you to 2000 while the TCG/OCG version boosts you to 4000, although there is no downgrading the level of non tuner monsters to levels 1 and 2 for a somewhat easy shooting quasar. shrugs* Adamtheamazing64 (talkcontribs) 14:15, August 9, 2011 (UTC)

No, Bubbleman is hard to use. You have to run out of cards. You don't want to do this. Life Stream Dragon is just too hard to summon.BobaFett2 (talk)

I know bubbleman is hard to use in TCG/OCG, but in anime, if you start out with bubble, then the anime effect gives you a +1. in TCG/OCG, you have to have no hand while summoning him with nothing else out on your field. In anime, the whole no cards in hand is not in the anime card effect, meaning that Konami did the right thing watering it down. (Watering down a bubble, lol puns.) And they are also there for their appearance in the "ANIME" and TCG/OCG itself. Not many cards were correct when they released into real life card, as Bubbleman (poor dude, being abusing) permissioned Judai to draw 2 each time he "summoned" him; while to us, as we have to get our field and hand, beside him, empty in order to using his effect entire. --FredCat 15:02, August 9, 2011 (UTC)

If Bubbleman had his anime effect he'd be broken. Not as badly as Disk Commander (not a target for Graceful Revival) but still broken. The point is that you don't get to choose-the real effect is the real effect, you can't choose to use an anime effect instead.BobaFett2 (talk)

Imagine if the card Double Spell's anime card effect was the TCG card effect...that wouldv been real powerful!...man, what a let down...and there are so many other cards too...oh well....anyway, it makes things more challenging, i suppose...--198.54.202.218 (talk) 16:03, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

Sorcerer of Dark Magic is my favourite monster!...its design looks frikking cool!!...and..okay the point is that..such an incredible card, has been downgraded yet again, by the corny Konami dudes....

the TCG card effect states the following: "This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing 2 Level 6 or higher Spellcaster-Type monsters. You can negate the activation of any Trap Cards and destroy them."

while the anime card effect, states this: "This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing 2 Level 6 or higher Spellcaster-Type monsters. You can negate the activation of any Trap Cards and destroy them (this includes the activation of face-up Trap Cards). When this card battles an opponent's monster, that monster loses 500 ATK for each Spellcaster-Type monster in your Graveyard that was destroyed by battle during this duel."

Moral of the story....they ruined this awesome card, by removing the ability to decrease the opponents monster by 500 attack points for every spellcaster in the user's graveyard, when attacking....mayn...they suck...when they ruin such an awesome card...if only...they just changed the card's effect to make thngs a whole lot better...wishfull thinkng...damn it...--198.54.202.218 (talk) 16:32, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

Not just ATK decreased, but also cannot negate the already activation Trap Card, like Gravity Bind - as this card following "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8" rulings that base on continuous Spell Cards. That's two negative this card got. --FredCat 17:01, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

They didn't really ruin it. Most monsters that are worth using have less than 3200 ATK. In general this monster isn't worth using either.BobaFett2 (talk)

exactly Fred Cat, thats another super licious effect!...all the more reason to kick those Konami dudes to Mars....if only they just looked at the card and realise the mistake they have created in the awesome card...its rediculous of em to downgrade such a brilliant card...if only i had a true say in the matter...--196.25.255.218 (talk) 18:52, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

...the ATK effect is useless, and the Trap Card thing makes sense.BobaFett2 (talk)

*poke Boba* --FredCat 18:55, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

Bob the builder duude...u kidding me? its kinda outrageous...there are very few hectic spellcasters out there..and this one takes the cake...what Konami did ws..turn it into a cupcake...u saying that there is no difference between a cupcake and a normal sized cake?..cmon...this is a legend card that will stand right in the centre of the all the spell casters....and on top of that..it would be great to bring it out on the field, while having Destiny Hero Doom Plasma, Horus the black flame dragon lv 8...a true formidable team it would be...--196.25.255.218 (talk) 19:00, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

Please tell me you're kidding. This thing requires you to tribute two Level 6 Spellcaster-Type monsters. There are only a few good Level 6 or higher Spellcaster-Type monsters...Arcanite Magician and Tempest Magician are the only ones of note. There is nothing "legendary" about it. It's too annoying to summon and too easy to get rid of. Again...when you have 3200 ATK reducing their ATK means NOTHING. The only commonly summoned monsters with more than 3000 ATK are The Shining (in Miracle Gemini, which has less) and Shooting Star Dragon (which is way better anyway).BobaFett2 (talk)

Boba ain't Bob, he's Boba Fett. And Konami only want the game to be fairness in TCG/OCG than have it destruct the world like in Anime. Do you really want that to happening? --FredCat 19:03, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

Also, Horus + Plasma + this would be ridiculous. You'd need to get out three monsters for Plasma, stall for Horus, and get out two Level 6 or higher Spellcaster-Type monsters for Sorcerer...Anti-Spell Fragrance + Dark Simorgh + Plasma is far better...and even without Plasma, few decks can stop it.BobaFett2 (talk)

but fredcat, it wouldnt ruin the fairness of the tcg/ocg, it will actually be normal cuz..there will be a lot of other cards to counter them...so theres always a balance in the game...either way.

haha i know that it would take a long while for all of em to get summoned boba, but it would be fun to get those top dawgs on the field, nd of course i thought up of those shortcuts which u have mentioned boba(and i just called u bob to to spice thngz up yo, u gotta chill sometimes), but i never use them cuz it would be a quick win for me...i play the game for fun, not exactly to win the game..but to get a perfect win, as in winning with a plan before hand of a duel...i play to get the best strategies and the best teams out on the field and savour the awesomeness of the long duel...but then again...im surprised u guys know so much, awesome work dudes.--Terent (talkcontribs) 06:38, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

Ugh, running-on sentence, same-thing I had back when I was younger. But I just said that Konami only want to keep the game balance instead. And I am not anger at them for making some card weak (at least too many cards being "useless" and never see playable) only to be happy that they made it so opponent won't have to get it to kick my ass. I have been around the Yu-Gi-Oh! since the release of Yugi and Kaiba decks. --FredCat 10:01, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

I see...interesting theory Fred, but i doubt they would be able to kick your ass...I'm sure you are a pretty good duelist yourself bro, there are many strategies to be used to counter such cards either way..thats what i believe, but oh well..thank you for you input though...oh..and didnt you mean "angry" Fred?--Terent (talkcontribs) 12:29, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

Like I won't angry if they made E-HERO poorly (bunch of weak ATK points monsters) once released into real life. I honest don't care what happened to them, only all I care was to be able to play them. And please forgive my misplace of words, it's just part of my Deaf Habit. That explained the reason why I felt bad by look at that sentence of your; a running-on sentence... --FredCat 12:35, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

oh, okay its chilled bro, it's not big deal, just be sure not to make fun of other's spelling though...because it would be quite "hypo-critical" dude haha--Terent (talkcontribs) 12:39, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

I only reminded that he forgot about dash part... that's not big deal. --FredCat 12:40, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

oh okay cool bro--Terent (talkcontribs) 12:42, August 11, 2011 (UTC)
