What is the meaning of must attack, if able in cards like All-Out Attack, Savage Colosseum, or Battle Mania? Do my defense position monsters have to change battle position to attack position then attack? How about my set monster? Can I just skip my battle phase so that none of my monster has to attack? Can I choose the order of attacking monster(s)? What if my monster is summoned at the end of battle phase? --118.172.103.218 (talk) 14:19, August 13, 2010 (UTC)
- Must attack means you must battle. When you're affected by the "must attack" effect, you cannot skip the Battle Phase, and all monsters that affected by "must attack" effect must battle during that Battle Phase. If your monsters are affected by cards that make them unable to attack ("Spellbinding Circle" for example), they're not affected by the "must attack" effect.
- Normally Defense Position (Set and face-up) are not affected by "must attack" effect (except Total Defense Shogun) because they're unable to attack while in Defense Position. However, most of cards that make your opponent monsters must attack have the effect that switch the face-up Defense Position monsters to Attack Position to force them to battle next turn.
- You can choose the attack target and the order of the attacking monster normally. --Blackwings0605 (talk) 14:40, August 13, 2010 (UTC)
