When does Black Gardens second effect target's? Is it after destroying all plants or before destroying all the plants on the field?Qstation 06:14, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Which effect?
Are u talking about the 1 involving the token or the special summon? If it is involving the Token, it occurs after a monster is normal or special summoned. If it is involving the Special Summon, it is AFTER plant destruction due to all their combined attack power going to the new monster. Cheesywarrior 08:23, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- The first effect (halving the ATK) of "Black Garden" does not target.
- The second effect (Special Summoning the monster) targets the monster to be Special Summon. Like all other effects that target, you select the target when activating the effect, before your opponent can chain (and long before destroying all Plants).

- Correct. You select the target, (then you let your opponent Chain and stuff), and then you resolve "Black Garden" and destroy everything.
