I recently decided to try to make a Hieratic deck, and despite the standard build be very good, I opted to try and make an alternative that could be as effective, or possibly more if built right. By looking through the cards in Galactic Overlord I noticed Queen Dragun Djinn. It's effect is pretty good for Hieratic's as it is an alternative to using Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon to bring back your monster's from the Graveyard. However in standard Hieratic's there isn't a way to XYZ into Queen Dragun, so I had a brainwave... Rescue Rabbit! That combined with Alexandrite Dragon and Luster Dragon provided me with a consistant way of summoning it, along with access to some other Rank 4's such as Maestrok the Symphonic Devil, whose effect can protect Queen Dragun from destruction, or Daigusto Emeral who can be a mini Pot of Avarice, or Special Summon my Normal Monster's from the grave.

The Deck

Comments/Suggestions/Ideas etc.

I look forward to any suggetsions anyone may have. Doz Bate: Stay (sic)!! 23:57, May 13, 2012 (UTC)

Nobody got any suggestions or comments? I thought of trying out 1 Lightpulsar Dragon over 1 Rescue Rabbit. This is because Rabbit can be dead at times, especially later in the duel, whilst Lgihtpulsar can bring back my Hieratics, or Red eyes from the grave if necassary.

Still nobody?

the deck looks fun but honestly i would ditch the rabbit and rabbit feed. the chance of a dead draw with the rabbit or it going late game is too high for my tastes. i would just stick to your hieratic layout and tweak that some. but thats just me.Magicsbetter;) (talkcontribs) 01:43, May 16, 2012 (UTC)

In testing I have dropped 1 Rabbit for Lightpulsar, which I have found to be ideal. I rarely dead draw the rabbit's or the level 4's. I find that being able to go into Rank 4's ina Hieratic deck is an under-rated play, so it unexpected to the majority. And with things like Queen Dragun Djinn, Maestrok the Symphonic Devil, and Number 39: Utopia (which I havent found room for yet) I have some reasonable back-up's and support for the usual monsters, and XYZ found in Hieratic's.

Also I'm in the process of testing Draconnection, to see if that helps out, mainly for swapping my Level 6 Normal Monster's with either Tefnuit or Su. As I only use the 2 Hieartic's main decked I will take out 1 Convocation for Draconnection, if testing is successful. Doz Bate: Stay (sic)!! 10:02, May 16, 2012 (UTC)

How about a Hieratic Seal from the Ashes? ---Kungfu-mama (Talk) 18:52, May 21, 2012 (UTC)

It could be worth a test, it does seem helpful in some ways. What should I remove to test it out?

Doz Bate: Stay (sic)!! 00:58, May 22, 2012 (UTC)

Well, if it were me, I'd remove starlight road. ---Kungfu-mama (Talk) 13:07, May 22, 2012 (UTC)

I will be sure to give it a test. If I do opt to use it what should I replace Stardust Dragon with in my Extra Deck?

Also what is your general opinion of what my deck is trying to do?

Doz Bate: Stay (sic)!! 14:14, May 22, 2012 (UTC)

Well, have a look at either Kachi Kochi Dragon or Number 50: Black Corn. Love Hieratics (fond of all dragons per se); think, as you said, that throwing in Rescue Rabbit and the required normal monsters can only give you a different edge over opponents. Just keep up with the fine tuning, you'll find something that works. ---Kungfu-mama (Talk) 14:46, May 22, 2012 (UTC)

Another thought...

Since you are running so many normal monsters, have you considered including one or two support cards for them? Don't know that these truly work with what you are trying to do here, but, say, if you're having drawing issues you could try: White Elephant's Gift, Dark Factory of Mass Production, or Common Charity. Another card to consider would be Symbols of Duty. Other ideas can be found here: Normal Monster Deck.--75.161.177.226 (talk) 15:03, May 22, 2012 (UTC)

Heat Wave is underrated card in todays Meta a normal monster is rare unless its a resuce rabbit deck with stopping effect monsters is basically means most deck won't be able to summon a monster....open field...this card kills most all decks..means your 1900 2000 atk can get a free shot......maybe not main deck but def side deck. ..card

More pragmatically for what you're trying to achieve... Silent Doom. Easy revival of a normal monster from your graveyard. Runer5h (talkcontribs) 04:16, May 23, 2012 (UTC)Runer5h

I'll definately consider some of these cards for use, mainly for Side Deck usage. Silent Doom, White Elephant's Gift and Symbols of Duty are the cards I'm most interested in using. What should I drop to test them?

Doz Bate: Stay (sic)!! 10:39, May 23, 2012 (UTC)

Try dropping one of your CotH for one of those three cards, and see how that goes. ---Kungfu-mama (Talk) 14:47, May 23, 2012 (UTC)

I tested out the suggestion's in the main deck, and they didn't work out brilliantly. Heat Wave worked rather well as a Side Deck option, along with Symbol's of Duty. However the rest of the card's affected the deck's performance in a negative way. I also decided Draconnection isn't that useful either some of them time.

Consistancy is the only aspect I feel need's working on now, so any idea's on improving that?

This may seem to come from left field but try to remove the Luster Dragon #2 for a White Night Dragon or a Dark Horus......try it give more worthy targets for Witch and REDMD

I can see what you are getting at with your suggetion, but as this is primarily a Hieratic deck, I am looking to stay with the general theme. What changes could I make to make the deck TCG legal?

Do you really need 2 Wattaildragons? I'd have thought that just one would be fine, and it would give the deck space for something else (not sure what, though). Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 17:53, June 19, 2012 (UTC)
