• Take out the 2nd Thestalos, and Jujitsu master. Focus more on DARK monsters to use Caius' effect better. Bluedog187 23:40, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

• If you're running Caius, have some condition to return removed from play monsters back to the Grave, Field, or Deck. Example: Return from the Different Dimension. Also keep in mind if you're running Caius, run more Dark. If you're going for hand control (in which your traps and thestalos are showing), then max Thestalos. Oh and also, keep your Jujitsus at 2 or 3. It doesn't matter, because it owns Gladiator Beasts. Chris427 01:25, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

• I'd run a few Trap Monsters, maybe a Fiend's Sanctuary if you can spare one. Monster Reborn might be less useful if you're running Caius. You may also want a Counter Trap or two to prevent the opponent from using nasty stuff like Bottomless Trap Hole on YOU. Speedball 01:35, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

• I can't believe you just discredited Monster Reborn. Curse you. And Trap Monsters aren't necessary for Monarch decks at all. He doesn't need Counter Traps unless he's willing, because Bottomless Trap Hole tramples Gladiator Beasts. If I were him though, I'd run 3 instead of a measly 2. Chris427 01:55, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Take control

• In a good Monarch deck u might wanna add a couple of cards which have the ability to tribute your opponents monsters instead of urs, it's a handy strategy if used well so here's a list of cards u should consider adding:
• Soul Exchange-Can be good, but it can slow u down a bit so I would recommend at max 2 copies.
• Fiend's Sanctuary-This gives u a free monster that can be tributed and has a Magic Cylinder effect so it's a good choice to put for a soul exchange.

I have a good Monarch Deck, so I'll give a line-up similar to what I've got:

3 Raiza 2 Zaborg 1 Thestalos 2 Mobius 1 Snipe Hunter 2 Cyber Dragon 3 Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive

Those are basically just a few monsters for a Monarch deck. The spells and traps you kind of have to figure out for yourself
