If Ally of Justice Catastor attacked Sasuke Samurai 4, or vice cersa, what exactly would happen? CrownedJester (talk • contribs) 23:39, March 27, 2011 (UTC)
I think that the turn player has priority, so whoever attacks gets Chain Link 1, so the attacked monster would get Chain Link 2, and would resolve first.
I know that for cases with Neo-Spacian Grand Mole, if it battles Catastor, catastor always gets chain link 1 (i think because it is a mandatory effect and grand mole has an optional trigger effect.)Trak0don (talk • contribs) 23:44, March 27, 2011 (UTC)

Ally of Justice Catastor activates at the start of the Damage Step, before face-down monsters flip face-up (which is why it doesn't destroy face-downs). Sasuke Samurai 4 activates before Damage Calculation, after monsters are flipped face-up. Catastor will destroy Sasuke Samurai #4 Izen75 (talk • contribs) 15:11, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

My apologies. I don't expect rulings to be directly contrary to card text. But I guess that's what rulings are. Otherwise, they'd be game mechanics. So, since they apparently are triggered at the same time, you go by SEGOC. Since they're both mandatory, Turn Player's effect will activate first, then Opponent's effect will Chain.
