Does anyone have a preference for what kind of images we should generally be using for infoboxes on character articles? I see a lot of them are getting replaced with close-up shots of the characters' faces. For example:
- Sherry LeBlanc: old (deleted from this site) → new (22:06, September 19 2012 revision)
- Rex Goodwin: old (00:19, August 21, 2008 revision) → new (19:30, September 18, 2012 revision)
- Kite Tenjo: old → new
Personally, I think the best images are usually head and upper body shots; that is from the top of the head or near the top of the head to anywhere between below the shoulders to just above the hips. Full body shots such as the ones at File:Thunder Spark.jpg and File:Luna-revealed.jpg look good too, in my opinion. Although, not every article is long enough to have an infobox image that long.
Does anyone think we should have a guideline on what kind of images we should be used. I think it should be just a guideline though, not something that should be followed for absolutely every character infobox image. -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:41, January 11, 2013 (UTC)
- Base give by other Wikia, such as this character from Soulcalibur Wikia, only as long as their faces and their chest/bosom are included in the screen. If there are full body image, then that's permission, like the one with Thunder Spark and Luna (ZEXAL). I agreed with your thought, Delta. --iFredCat 02:18, January 11, 2013 (UTC)
