I need help to make my deck stronger!

Cloudians FTW

I know quite a good bit of Cloudian, so lets see if I can help any. My current deck build is still rather new to me, but I know it works well so I will try to give advice based of that. First off there are 2 main ways to play Cloudians, Burn or Beatdown. One of other Cloudian decks are Cloudian Monarchs, which isn’t very common (I tried it once, worked nicely). Burn would use effects like Updraft and Natural Disaster. While beat down focuses around either Cloudian - Nimbusman or Cloudian - Eye of the Typhoon. My deck uses Nimbusman mostly, so if you are trying to use Cloudian Burn this probably won’t help.

Your monster line up is pretty good. I would suggest to get rid of the Turbulence, Smoke Ball, Poison Cloud, and Morphing Jar. I use 3 Cirrostratus, Ghost Fog, and Nimbusman, 2 Acid Cloud and Storm Dragon, 1 Altus, Sheep Cloud, and Zeradias. I also use 1 Deep Diver, which could be replaced with Sangan or even Mother Grizzly, but monsters won’t main Fog Counter on Summon with Mother Grizzly. You got basic idea of monster line up, so not much else I can suggest for it.

Your spells could use a good bit of improvement however. I use 3 Cloudian Squall, The Sanctuary in the Sky, Summon Cloud, and Fog Control. Even if you don’t copy that exactly, I would suggest to have more of them, mainly The Sanctuary in the Sky and Cloudian Squalls. Besides that I use 1 Salvage (Mainly due to Storm Dragons), 1 Monster Reborn and Premature Burial, 1 Heavy Storm (Probably should be Mystical Space Typhoon instead), and 2 Diamond-Dust Cyclones. Cloudians don’t really need equips so I would say drop the United We Stand. Fissure is optional, I just use Cirrostratus instead. I personally will never use Field Barrier due to its major flaw, if Field Spell is returned to your hand (Razia, Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, Etc.) Field Barrier stays making it so you can’t play a field till it is destroyed. Swords is optional, it can help I just don’t use it. I really don’t get why you would use creature swap, so probably should get rid of it.

My trap line up is currently very small, 3 Dark bribe, 1 Raging Cloudian, and 1 Rain Storm. Only thing there I would keep would be Call of the Haunted, but it got banned from advanced (which all my decks are), and maybe Damage Condenser. Personally I try not to take battle damage to start with, so it would have little use in my deck. Good traps for Cloudian decks include Spirit Barrier and the new Defense Draw. If you use The Sanctuary in the Sky you probably won’t want to use many Spirit Barriers. Defense Draw however I think will be great for Cloudians, but haven’t been able to get any to test with.

Well that is all I have to say, sorry for it being so long. Bio 02:22, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

But why arent you both using turbulence?

Because if you play him the next turn (if you got squal up) you can summon a typhoon or nimbusman with 2 tokens on. Due too 2 smoke balls.

AND why use fog control actualy :s I think it's already hard to get 2/3 cloudians out...

I now played 7 duels... still losed 6 of em... :s the decks i losed from where: remove from play, crystal beasts, monarch, jinzo

I already looked on youtube for video's of people playing with the cloudians (for tips) but can't find much...

never really fond of turbulence

mainly because im not a cloudian swarm but a cloudian beatdown. now mother grizzly can get out nimbusman who is clearly the best with cloudian squall. and with sanctuary in the sky you wont take damage so you dont really need more than one monster per turn and since they wont be destroyed by battle you can stall long enough to get a strong cloudian out.

thats really the main reason i dont use turbulence.

a cloudian deck is meant to have monsters that wont be destroyed by battle and having cards that dont allow you to take battle damage. however, this is just my opinion thats why cards like kuriboh are uneeded as well as swarm monsters that can be destroyed like smoke ball. and he just kind of takes up space.

Cloudian decks rely on fog counters and speed, I made this Toolbox Cloudian Deck/Beatdown deck myself, it's done good for me. IT's a pretty fast deck due to reckless greeds

sheep cloud 2 nimbusman Morphing jar for speed Turbulence for deck thinning 2 Smokeballs for turbulence 3 Cirrostratus 1 Sangan 2 Mother grizzly 2 Ghost fog 2 Acid cloud VVspellsVV 2 salvage 1 Mystic space typhoon 3 Squall 1 Wave motion 1 Summon cloud 1 fog control 1 Monster Reborn 1 sanctuary in the sky VVTrapsVV 3 reckless greed For speed Waboku 2 Spirit barrier 1 Dark bribe 1 Solemn judgement 1 Draining shield 1 Final attack orders 1 updraft Threatening roar Negate attack

This deck served me well. Try it out. Lol

I personally don't run Cloudians, but I have seen a few people running Spirit Barrier It goes well witht he Clouds "Not Destroyed by battle" effect --Enigmaticmasochist 11:29, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

There. A 42 Card Cloudian deck. Tests pretty well. I'll explain the deck.

Nimbusman is your beatdown. I've easily made it to 10,000 attack and even higher. Acid Cloud is for backrows. Sheep Cloud is for stall, not a good stall but it's a stall. Ghost Fog is for counters. Cirrostratus for monsters. Altus for a little hand control,I've depleted my opponents hand to 2 or less, which really ticks them off. Zeradias to search for Sanctuary in the Sky and as a beatstick.

Sanctuary is a must in Cloudians. Cloudian Squall generates counters which could benefit you on all your monsters, mainly Nimbusman,Acid Cloud,Cirrostratus and maybe Altus. Magic Reflector protects your Sanctuary or your Cloudian Squall. Salvage recycles. Field Barrier protects your Sanctuary. Fog Control for more counters. MST is staple.

Threatening Roar to stall for a bit of more time. Dark Bribe is staple. Updraft can give away massive burn damage. You can easily burn up to 6000 if you have at least 20 counters on the field, which is easy to generate. Spirit Barrier protects your monsters further more if you can't get Sanctuary in the Sky on the field in time,or you can stack it with Sanctuary. Solemn, staple and Mirror Force is staple. This deck works really well, but I apologize in advance if it does not work for you. 174.1.116.16 13:18, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

How bout using Vallhala ? It help you to special summon Nimbusman. Limit Reverse too. Lol i'm using Cloudian deck too.

re: never really fond of turbulence

You use Nimbusman, yet not turbulence? With 2 counters on turbulence you can spec. summon 2 puffs, and sac them both, Nimbus now at 2000, this starts him just high enough to prevent you from taking damage after that first turn he is summoned. Then next turn, assumig you have at least a squall on the feild, bring one back summon Poison, Cirro, Atlus or another turbulence and there are 3 more, second turn he is out attack is at 4000. Next turn 6000 and so on. (Thats only counting your side of the feild aswell.) Turbulence allows you to get nimbusmans attack way up there in very few turns if you use him.

You could use spirit barrier instead of Sanctuary in the Sky then have A Legendary Ocean as your field spell, that way you don't need to tribute to normal summon Nimbusman and you get a small ATK boost so you'll take less battle damage if you're attacked.

I like to use Turbulence with Fog control because if you tribute the smoke balls it's a way to get a lot of Fog Counters quite quickly.
