Can Forbidden Dress be chained to the activation of a cards effect which already targets a monster on the field(ex.Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World,Raigeki Break)?

It says that Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark Worlds SS doesn't start a chain, so it means that it can be negated by cards like Thunder King Rai-Oh,Solemn Judgment, Black Horn of Heaven, and Steelswarm Roach??

Forbidden Dress has it's drawbacks that it can't make a targeted monster untargeted. So Grapha would probably kill your monster. As for Grapha and Rai-Oh, Rai-Oh can negate his summon. -Dark Ace SP (Talk) 13:03, November 4, 2012 (UTC)
You're looking at Chain and Resolve. The monsters with Inherit Summon can be negated by those you listed. The monsters with Summon Condition but not Inherit could not be negated by those cards, like Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 for an explanation. --iFredCat 13:03, November 4, 2012 (UTC)

@.@

can you give me a card that can be chained to support your monster against cards like Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World, I thought Forbidden Dresses description "or destroyed by other cards effect" could save my ass.Black`Rose (talkcontribs) 13:14, November 4, 2012 (UTC)

the "grapha's effect doesn't start a chain" stuff is for the summon, here you are looking for the destroy effect. that DOES start a chain. so forbidden dress can be chained, otherwhys you would just respond to it, and prevent the monster targeted by grave from being destroyed. it is already targeted, so dress does not stop that, but it does stop the destruction, so your monster will be saved.D-range (talkcontribs) 17:29, November 4, 2012 (UTC)

In short, while "Forbidden Dress" cannot prevent your monster from being targeted by Grapha (since Grapha already targeted it), you can still Chain to the effect of Grapha in order to prevent your targeted monster from being destroyed. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 20:08, November 4, 2012 (UTC)

is it true what you're saying, that my monster wouldn't be destroyed at all?Black`Rose (talkcontribs) 12:35, November 5, 2012 (UTC)

according to dress, the monster cannot be targeted and cannot be destroyed, so, yes, your monster will NOT be destroyed since the destruction is after the resolvation of dress, so dress will prevent your monster from destruction.D-range (talkcontribs) 12:38, November 5, 2012 (UTC)

Another one??

Soul Drain says that monsters effect CANNOT BE ACTIVATED, so it means that it cannot negate effects which on probably you chain this card. EX. the badass Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World? Black`Rose (talkcontribs) 13:56, November 5, 2012 (UTC)

Correct. If you had "Soul Drain" active, and then your opponent discarded "Grapha" to the Graveyard, its effect could not activate. However, if your opponent discards "Grapha" to the Graveyard, THEN you Chain "Soul Drain", the effect of Grapha will still resolve, since the effect of "Grapha" already "activated".
This is similar to when an opponent's monster declares an attack, and then you activate "Threatening Roar". While the Roar prevents your opponent's mosters from declaring attacks, it does NOT negate attacks. So the current attack will go through, since the attack was already declared. (In order to avoid this, you should activate "Roar" at the start of, or before, the Battle Phase.) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:03, November 5, 2012 (UTC)
