Forum:Dark Magician Cards

I'm currently trying to build a deck with at least one of every card that is related to Dark Magician, but knowing me, there are lots of cards I won't remember, or just don't know exist. I have some of the cards already, but not enough to build an actual deck list, hence this page's creation. If someone could help me figure out what cards I'm missing, I'd really appreciate it. Also, while some cards on here may not be officially related, if the card features similar aspects to Dark Magician (same armor style, Magician's Circle featured in card art and has an affect specific to spellcasters, etc.) I would like to include it, unless it is part of the Magician Girl archetype, since it is a sub-archetype. This deck is not required to be tournament legal, so please include cards that are banned aswell.

The archetype page doesn't contain a list of cards in the archetype, it just describes the archetype and how it plays, also recommending cards that work well with the archetype, but not necessarily part of the archetype. The lists that it has do not contain the entire set of cards I am looking for. As I stated in my initial post, I am looking for ALL the cards related to Dark Magician, not just the cards in the archetype. In other words, the archetype lists aren't enough because they are too limited in what they've included. In my opinion, both lists should be a lot bigger. Go to the very bottom of Dark Magician (archetype), where it says "Dark Magician" in the blue navigation box, then click show. You should see a list of related cards there.

"Rapid-Fire Magician" definitely doesn't belong. Idk where you think "Diffusion Wave-Motion" fits in though. That card's manga lore doesn't indicate any relationship, and its only relation can only be considered through one of the artworks of "Dark Paladin", and that's only because the artwork depicts the scene in the manga where that monster uses that attack (being augmented by that Spell). You should definitely consider "Miracle Flipper" though, as it and "Card Ejector" were used by Jaden Yuki (and their inspirations should be fairly obvious). --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 04:57, October 9, 2016 (UTC)

As I have stated TWICE now, I have looked at that list, and have taken note of it, but it is not enough for what I am doing. It only shows cards that have an official relation. I am looking for a list of cards that may not have an official relation, but bare heavy resemblance to the Dark Magician and his official relatives. One example would be Dark Magician of Chaos. While the archetype page even says it is not in the archetype, it is clearly related by it's armor style, and the fact that his armor is based on a mixture of Yugi's clothing style and the Dark Magician's armor style. Another would be the Chaos Command Magician, who shows a very clear resemblance to Dark Magician. In short, while the list provided on the archetype page is helpful, and I will be using all of the cards on it, there's more cards than that that I need to compile, that's why I created this list.
