Could you guys give me some advice?

Dark Magician: 43
Side Deck: 15


This is a Dark Magician Deck, not a Dark Magician Fusion deck, it only has the fusions for support. Anyway, no matter what I do, I can't seem to make this deck as fast as I want it. It's just giving me a headache, I can't seem to make it work, can anyone help me? Also, it's VERY IMPORTANT that if you suggest cards, please suggest cards to take out, becausethat is my biggest problem whenever I try to put in cards. Goku9821 17:02, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

I would suggest taking out the spell economics, it's very likely to be a dead draw most of the time, and I don't think Mirage Knight is worth playing, you'll hardly be able to summon it. I'd suggest to center more on getting the effects of the magic cards related to Dark magician or Dark magician girl, so I would play one more Dark magic attack and a Thousand knives . i use a dark magician deck my self it runs fairly fast i have 3 dark magicians 1 dark magician girl 1 jinzo 2 gemni elfs 2 breaker magical warriors 2 Old Vindictive Magicians 3 skilled dark magicians 1 penguin soldier 3 Maha Vailos 1 morphing jar 1 chaos command magician 2 dark magic curtains 3 ax of despares 2 malevolent nuzzlers 1 lighting vortex 1 monster reborn 1 sword of releavling light 1 heavy storm 1 mystical space typhoon and if u want a mausoleum of the emperor and a book of moon ,,, 2 trap jammers 1 mirror force 1 dust tornado 1 magical cylinders 1 divine wrath 1 torrental tribute 1 magic jammer 1 draing sheild 1 negate attack 2 trap holes

sorry but your line up is horrible

get rid of magical exmeplar u need more attackers your primary attacking force should be kycoo, skilled, and gemini anything else is support

aslo three apprentice magician and three crystal seer are awesome much better then old magicians

rid yourself of the concept of 2 cards

if its a good card put in three if u only need one then one it is


also your gonna get run over with traps like that

stick with one torrential keep one waboku although u can do better then that i have also taken a liking to sakuretsu or trap hole

and wheres the negation at here??? toss in three dark deals if you aint got solemn judgment on you

iron scrap crow is a good alternative keep the jinzo dont bother with those thousand knives dark magic attack

thats just you wanting to be fancy and cool and most likely those will be dead draws

having three dark magicians is fine but i would cut it to 2 and add in a dark magician of chaos along with it as his effect is awesome

seriosly cut out the magic cards that are dependant on dark magician those are nothing but one trick ponies

^^^Thank you Super Teddy, that is a good idea. The problem with that though is Pot of Avarice is one of the few ways I can get Dark Magician back if he's in the graveyard, but I agree the Allure of Darkness are needed, is there something else I can take out for them?

^^^^Also, your idea is good, and I'll probably do it later today. Also, the Phantom of Chaos is a good idea, to re use Dark Magician's in the grave for fusions.

A problem I see is that when I get Dark Magician out and he's been sent to the grave, I have only one card in my entire deck to bring him back. Can anyone help me with that?Goku9821 18:13, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

read the deck list the skilld dark magicans help some what 3 spell counters and u can speacal summmon him from hand deck or graveyard thats the best i know of

I updated it. I added a third Dark Magician Girl so it's easier to use Sage's Stone. I added two Birthright's so I could bring him back, but they're going to be replaced with Miracle Restoring when I can get them. I also added Dark Magic Attack and Thousand Knives, so I have more reason to bring out Dark Magician. Any advice is greatly appreciated, the deck needs a lot of help. Also, Teddy, I tried getting Allure of Darkness, but nobody would trade them, otherwise I would have added them. Goku9821 00:07, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Max Magician's Circle, so you can get Skilled Dark Magician out easy. And to replace Allure of Darkness maybe Toon Table of Contents, since it's very useful for getting spell counters. Teddy 12:53, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

I think the stupidest thing you could do would be to remove Birthright for Miracle restoring. Use Foolish Buriels to send your magicians to the graveyard and reborn them with Birthright and Soul Resurrections and Monster Reborn. If you can pull that off use Card of Safe Return to gain draw power. Magicians circle is good if used with DMGirl.--Psychosocial 15:19, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

You need 3 Skilled Dark Magicians. Also I would really take out all of the fusion stuff. It takes up a lot of space for a card that really isn't worth bringing out. It's too easy to get rid of if it with cards such as Bottomless Trap Hole and Sakuretsu Armor. I realize you have Royal Decree in there to help against those traps, but you really need to add a 3rd one. I also don't think you need Reasoning in there. Hey guys, I could use more advice. ><; A problem I see is that often, I might not have enough monsters. Also, If I do get something out, My most powerful monster is only 2500, which can't really contend with a lot of the Synchros and stuff out there. Any advice?Goku9821 21:57, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

  • The fact that spellcasters have low attack values might be a problem. In your case I would suggest Injection Fairy Lily. She can evade trap holes and can be a 3400 beatstick, her cost is painfull but she can take care of annoying monsters like stardust dragon. Also if used with Magicians Unite her attack rises at 6000 and you can use Magician's Circle in order to summon her or Dark Magician Girl for a surprise attack on the opponent's life points. Lastly I really think Secret Village of the Spellcasters is a really good card: since you will lock their trap cards why not the spell cards too?Mindmime 11:04, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
