Welcome to the World Grand Prix! Ehem, the World Duel Carnival! Bring your best ZEXAL decks and give us your decklists (so that we can steal your secrets)!

  • Make a deck based around a ZEXAL Archetype
  • OCG and TCG is fine, as always
  • The deck must have support for that archetype - having just one monster from the archetype is valid, but the monster must then be searchable and come out often enough and be one of the key cards in the deck
  • Wind-Up Zenmaines in Plant Synchro does not count. You will not get off that easily. Likewise, no Rabbit Lagia. That's just boring and will not be receiving votes.
  • Original decks, of course
  • No re-using decks from previous competitions
  • Read Forum:Weekly Deck Competition if you have more questions
  • All decks are due November 26-27.

I'll assume it's cheating to post the Banishark Deck I already run. Well, off for some modifications... --Blue-Eyes Starlight Dragon (talkcontribs) 03:29, November 20, 2011 (UTC)

Wait, isnt Generation Fish a deck type? not an archetype? :o 33royward (talkcontribs) 04:43, November 20, 2011 (UTC)

Still, the general strategy is so prevalent it can't be overlooked. The archetype isn't specifically named so that its support can also accomodate unrelated Fish/Sea Serpent/Aqua monsters. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 10:57, November 20, 2011 (UTC)

Eh, can't figure out an alternate way of using the Banisharks other then the one I already do; other than a few small tweaks, the Deck I post is the one I use. Sorry if that's cheating; I just haven't been able to figure out an alternate method of utilising them effectively. --Blue-Eyes Starlight Dragon (talkcontribs) 22:00, November 25, 2011 (UTC)

I'll accept it, unless BF2 objects? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 00:42, November 26, 2011 (UTC)

I cant figure out how to get my decklist up on this page. can some one check on the Editing I did for mistakes?Yusei1Fudo

Numbers wasn't a category and you didn't sign up for this in the first place so we've been deleting your posts. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 17:49, November 26, 2011 (UTC)
I deleted it, Numbers is not a Archetype in this competition, you cannot do a Number deck. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 17:49, November 26, 2011 (UTC)

I don't have a section. I'll assume that means that I'm not in it? --Blue-Eyes Starlight Dragon (talkcontribs) 04:49, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

You were under Banisharks.

To All remaining contestants: Please post before the end of the day. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 22:56, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

Crashbug

I'm actually really surprised at how well this worked. I originally tried a Crashbug Ojama Chaos deck, but there was just too much going on, so I simplified it to this. Mystic Tomato is fantastic; it lets me toolbox whatever Crashbug I need to the field when I have the corresponding one in hand. Next turn, I summon and grab the third. Tour Guide is great for an instant Rank 3, and for grabbing the third Crashbug I need to make Super live. Gates of the Dark World is so pro in this deck. It turns dead hands of duplicate Bugs into live hands while fueling Leviair, who the deck drops so easily. Tomato into one Bug, summon the other to get the third, make Leviair, get another Bug back, make a second Leviair, and bring back another Bug or Sangan. It's the tech card that works. Super is that surpise big Monster, and with Tomatos and Tour Guides searching everything out, on top of the Bugs own thinning engine, it's almost instantly live. And if it's not, I just get rid of it with Allure/Gates. The deck actually drops stuff like Terror-Byte really easily, who has turned out to be a great tech. Easy Zenmaines make good stall/destruction. Easy Leviathan beaters. Easy Leviair plays. Easy Acid Golem finish. Easy Greno burns for game. The deck just works. It flows seamlessly and works so well. Evol

It was surprisingly easy to make an Evol Deck without Rescue Rabbit. Granted, I used "Hydrogeddon" and "Jurrac Guaiba" to replace it, but I found interesting ways of summoning "Soldde" from one of my friends. So, thanks to the new cards from Order of Chaos, I found more ways to Xyz Summon the Evols. Xyz Summoning isn't an issue, so I just added some basics and other cards that fit. The only problem was the type difference, as it varied from Reptiles, to Dinosaurs, to Dragons, so, I couldn't include "Solidarity". However, it seems "Molten Destruction" works quite well in this deck, as all of my monsters (with the exception of "Hydrogeddon" and various Xyz Monsters) are FIRE. So, there you have it! --Darkskylarkalexanderx (talkcontribs) 15:35, November 26, 2011 (UTC)

Gagaga

Elite Wolf

This deck is built on Xyz summoning monsters, with the priority being Magi Magi. Since this deck has a good amount of lights and darks, it can support BLS and Chaos Sorcerer. And if BLS was still banned, it would become a second Chaos Sorcerer. Monk, Allure, Duality, Wand, and Magician's Circle are all meant to help get the pieces to make Magi Magi together. Full Elf and Tragoedia are tech cards since they can manipulate their levels, making it easier to get the Xyz monster I need. Elite Wolf (talkcontribs) 23:55, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

Blue-Eyes White Kid

At first I thought, "How should I build a deck around the Gagagas, it sounds difficult." Then I realized that it was a piece of cake. As you might have guessed, Gagaga Magician is the heart of this deck, and it should make an appearance about every other turn. With it, I can fully utilize Mind Control or summon massive monsters of destruction with Resonance Device.

Gagaga Magician is unique, fitting a niche that no other card fills. With Resonance Device, I can make any Xyz I desire for little to no cost. Tour Guide is in here for Sangan tutoring or Leviair access. Both plays will usually net you a Magician, but Leviair usually needs help from Gold Sarcophagus to do so. Level Limit - Area B helps by stalling until you can drop an Xyz, Effect Veiler protects your Xyzs and fuels BLS. Xyz Reborn is amazing, simply because it's chainable and effective. Reborn and Call help recur Magician and sustain the pressure that you're applying on your opponent.

The Extra Deck is an amazing toolbox. I can easily kill my opponent's best cards, steal my opponent's best monsters, recycle my best cards, or bring out near-unstoppable and win-inducing beatsticks. And the best part: I can do this every other turn. Imagine constant waves of cards like Tiras, Keeper of Genesis or Magi Magi ☆ Magician Girl. Doesn't that sound gagagreat? Sorry, had to.

Hope you can see how good this is. Thanks for reading! -bewk

Banisharks

Did I make it? Well, this is my Banishark/Generation Fish Deck. It has two goals - one is to rapidly Xyz Summon powerful monsters, whilst the other is to overpower the opponent through the use of cards like Burden or Needle Sunfish. There are a few techs in this deck that have actually proved quite useful, like having two Inferno Reckless (since Wingtortoise and Shark Stickers Special Summon amazingly), Aqua Jet for boosting my weaker monsters (I killed a BLS with a Leviair once using this and Burden), and Monster Slot, which is just an amazing card. It's not the most competitive deck out there, but I have found it reasonably fun to play and, as with every deck if played right, can hold its own against many more powerful decks. --Blue-Eyes Starlight Dragon (talkcontribs) 21:52, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

Ninja

Here is my Dragon Ninjas deck. It worked out pretty good. It uses its "Summoning Jutsu" to summon NOT a toad, but DRAGONS. Yes, dragons. The Dragons I use are Horus LV6 & Galaxy-Eyes since Horus can level up to lv8 and can lock spells and when being leveled up, it can no longer be equipped to Super transformation and can no longer be destroyed with a mere MST or a Heavy Storm. Galaxy is also there since when Galaxy banishes itself and returns, it is also no longer equipped with Super Transformation. Super Transformation is great since it also get rids of my opponents monsters and it doesnt "destroy" it so Stardust is a no prob. Ive added BLS since it has great synergy with Gold Ninja. Gold uses its eff, summoning hanzo and get a ninja for next turn then Xyz Summon Lavalval Chain and search for BLS. Since Gold is LIGHT and Hanzo is DARK, its easy to summon BLS whether or not Lavalval is destroyed or survives a turn.

Since the Super Transformations remains useless on field, Gold Conversion is there for some draw power. Mask retrieves a Ninjitsu art in grave. Stralight Road is there for Heavy Storms since i have lots of traps for Gold Ninja. Sazank destroys when flipped like Ryko and is also a Ninja. Other cards are now just staples. Thanks for reading! Hope you guys like my deck ^^ 33royward (talkcontribs) 04:58, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

Wind-Up

SM10

This deck is now very, VERY fast, thanks to Zenmaighty. He is AMAZING! A free search each turn is awesome, and allows me to swarm with 4 Xyz in one turn. Rat makes crazy Xyz combos by summoning another. Kitten is there to bounce pesky cards, like Kristya. Rabbit triggers Factory, which gives good, free searches and resets the key Wind-Ups. Knight protects Zenmighty on turns that I open with Tour Guide, and is a good beatstick. Wind-Ups will be Tier 2 once these are released, that's how good they are. This is my build I made a few months ago, and it's still really good. I basically teched in a Hunter to offer the Rat -> Hunter loop, which can deplete their entire hand is one turn, which is nice, and possible game-ending. Wind-Ups will be Tier 2 (possibly better) once Zenmaighty and Rat are released, that's how good they are. I liked them when I first saw them, and hoped they would become better. I'm glad Wind-Ups exceeded my expectations. :) Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 02:41, November 28, 2011 (UTC)

Gadjiltron

How are you gentlemen, all your base am I still in time? ...Oh, I am. Great!

So, this is actually the Wind-Up Deck I have planned somewhere else in the forum, but edited a little bit with an increased concentration of Wind-Up monsters to fit better in the competition.

We all know the deal with Wind-Ups. Xyz, Xyz, and Xyz again. Especially with Zenmaighty being the main recruiter of the Deck. Come to think of it, I've initially designed this with Rank 3/4/5 Xyz in mind but it seems like it'll drift towards focus in Ranks 3 and 5.

So, where was I... Ah, right. The Deck. Any Wind-Up Deck would focus on either bringing out Rank 3, which is the ever-popular Zenmaighty, or Rank 5, where all the big beaters are. At LV3 are Wind-Up Rat, Dog, Rabbit and Sangan, and at LV5 are Cyber Dragon, Wind-Up Soldier (boosted) and Wind-Up Dog (boosted). Tragoedia's thrown in since it can manipulate its own levels to adjust to whatever Xyz I'm making.

Spiral Spring is thrown in here since it's just downright awesome when used properly. Fodder for Spiral Spring include self-boosted Dogs, Soldier, Knight, or even used-up Zenmaighties. What can I do with it? Summon 2 copies of any Wind-Up for instant Xyz Summon, or even 1 Rat and 1 Magician for a long string of effect combos that result in several Xyz monsters in one shot, resulting in the opponent have no chance to survive make their time losing very soon.

Rank 4 isn't even much of a problem here. Summon Priest is there for the usual Priest→Priest→LV4 combo that makes a Rank 4 Triple Xyz. Either that, or it searches Wind-Up Magician in Defense Position, setting the Deck up us the bomb for further combos involving Magician's search effect while sitting behind 2 walls with decent DEF scores.

So, that's probably about it for this Deck. Main Spring turn on, take off every Zig! --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 03:28, November 27, 2011 (UTC)
