Forum:Deck Destroyer Deck

This deck Focuses on using low level cards to either damage your opponents life points or to destroy cards from your opponents deck. Your opponent should be too occupied fighting your Chainsaw Insect or Doom Dozer to realize they are about to run out of cards. Your primary aim is to reduce your opponents life points to zero. Failing that destroying their deck is the next way you will hope to win.

This Deck Can play both offensively or defensively depending on how the match is going. Cards such as Warm Worm should be played on your first go, to see what type of deck your opponent has, but also so you can summon Aztekipede, the Worm Warrior and Doom Dozer sooner. Then I would decide if I want to play offensively or defensively. For aggressive play, play cards such as Chainsaw Insect to try to simply overpower your opponent to beat them. For defensive play I would keep playing the worm cards Warm Worm and Needle Worm to destroy your opponents deck while protecting your life points. Also always normal summon your Shield Worm as to use its effect, it goes into defense position anyway after destroying one or more of your opponents cards. Howling Insect is a great stall card. Just use its effect to summon another Howling Insect then use the final one to summon a Needle Worm or something.

Only play The Dark Door if you are playing defensively otherwise you only limit yourself. You can add more Gravekeeper's Servant to your deck if you wish, as their effect stacks meaning your opponent has to remove 3 cards to attack. One great combo with this deck is the DNA Surgery and Insect Barrier combo. To do this set DNA Surgery on your go. Next turn activate it and set all of your opponents monsters to Insect type. Now activate Insect barrier. its great both for defense and offense. Also sometimes its a good idea to activate DNA Surgery just by itself if you don't have Insect Barrier as its effect can mess up a few card effects such as Solidarity.

Spider Egg is just a last chance card really. I'm looking for something to replace it as it is not much help but it has saved me in a duel one or twice. Only activate it when you are out of cards on your field. Chain Disappearance is great for eliminating weak opponent cards such as Marshmallon. Divine Wrath is a sweet card too. You may want more of it to help counter particularly annoying cards.

This is a simple deck.I haven't added an extra deck on purpose as I find adding your own touches will make it that more better for your play style so feel free to experiment and add your own cards to the extra deck and to the main deck too.

Out of curiosity, what is your success rate with this deck? Jet-Black Nova (talkcontribs) 23:23, November 5, 2014 (UTC)

I win my matches often enough. I also loose but that's to be expected. Its just luck really. I can get some surprising turnaround wins because the opponent has run out of cards. LostMckee (talkcontribs) 12:47, November 6, 2014 (UTC)
