Hello, I am new here, I need some help cutting my deck into a legal limit, and also any recommendations I don't do any meta decks because I just don't have the cards and I like being creative. Any ways Heres a list since at my club at school we play by traditional format and use God cards (also using the old 80 card limit but anyways its too much for me). But I want to keep it also accessible for Advanced format as well. (might be getting the new marik deck sometime soon so I might add in few cards from there). I am aware they are more than 80 cards but keep modifying it and surprisingly this deck has served me well but I the only that use around 70-80 cards in my deck so I just want to lower it down and need some suggestions please and on what to keep or take out or put in.

I think its great that you are not using a meta deck. By Demon, at first I thought you meant the "Archfiend" cards, but now I see that this is simply a fiend deck? You have 70 cards in your deck, which is way too much. But it shouldn't be too hard to get back down to 40~60 as some of your cards can be taken out. Also I know you play by traditional format but if you want to keep it accessible for advanced play as well, then you need to replace some of your forbidden cards with legal ones.

Monsters: Take out La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp, Opticlops, Summoned Skull, Dark Effigy, and Big Eye. Try not to use Lv4 or less monsters with no effects. After all fiends are known for having devastating effects, so it should be easy to replace. Most Lv5 or 6 monsters nowadays go with 2400ATK so you might be tempted to use Summoned Skull's 2500ATK, but you'd be far better off with another Ha Des. Definitely add a Snipe Hunter. Do NOT use more than 1 copy of any Wicked God, if you intend to use all 3. Trust me, even summoning 2 is hard enough for this deck.

Spells: Fiends don't really need a field spell to stay ahead of the game, so you could take out Mystic Plasma Zone, but its fine to keep as well. Heavy Storm is now forbidden, but on the bright side MST has been moved up to 2 copies. Change of Heart, Brain Control, Premature Burial, and Snatch Steal are also forbidden. Once you get your deck size down to about 40~50, Reload will no longer be necessary.

Traps: Get rid of Wall of Revealing Light as it is not needed and doesn't fit the theme of demons. Covering Fire is rather situational and you'd be better off without it. Also take out Riryoku Field and Spell Shield Type-8. Replace Shadow Spell and Mask of Weakness with their improved version known as Nightmare Wheel. Lastly, if you can afford it, swap out Magic/Trap Jammers for Dark Bribes.

I have only offered the most crucial points of advice, and there is still much you can do to improve your deck. If you followed ONLY what I suggested, your deck should be cut to around 55, which is still a bit on the large side, but much better than originally. Also most of my suggestions will result on you taking out spell/trap cards. Your monster cards are ok, but in order to maintain a good monster/spell & trap ratio, you should take out some monsters that are less helpful to you when you play. This should get the deck down to at most, 50 cards. IPlay4Fun (talkcontribs) 07:00, October 29, 2010 (UTC)
