Forum:Does this trap/spell card exist?

Hello All, I am fairly new to dueling and I am attempting to build a fairly strong cloudian deck. When it comes to cloudian's they depend more on counter, trap cards, and spell cards. Now my question is as follows. Is there a trap/spell card that inflicts direct damage to an opponent when my own monster(s) are destroyed by there own effect? If anyone can think of one that would be awesome.

Oh yeah, of course, it exists...IT IS Natural Disaster

I want to know if there is a trap/spell that damages the opponent if one of my own monsters is destroyed by its own effect.

there is something, but thats not exactly like what you imagine I presume... Chthonian Blast

Else there is nothing... at least I don't know anything^^

I am building a cloudian deck and most cloudians get destroyed by their own effect if placed in defence mode. If I had a spell or trap card that damaged my opponent when my monsters are kill by that effect I could simply switch my cards to defence and blast the opponent with direct damage. Its just a thought and perhaps a dream.

...It just occurred to me. If you had a Cloudian face-up, Final Attack Orders face-up, and your opponent plays Enemy Controller to switch the Cloudian to Defense Position, what happens? --Gadjiltron 02:01, September 7, 2009 (UTC)

well, the cloudian monster will be destroyed as soon as it is switched to defense position... and that will happen in any case. The fact, that it would be switched to attack immediatly after that doesn't matter, it's destroyed by then.

By searching through the forums I found something else which could be very interesting for you: 1. This nice Trap: Raging Cloudian 2. This monster: Gaap the Divine Soldier it doesn't do any damage to the opponent but both protect your monster from being switched to defense mode.

Gwalchavad 05:28, September 8, 2009 (UTC) Thanks for the advice. Especially that one monster that prevents monsters from switching positions. I would have to play it wisely though as I have Eye of the Typhoon who's effect is to changle all monsters on the fields position when it declares and attack. Got 3 raging cloudian cards and they don't seem to do that much for me as most people focus on straight up destroying my monsters thru effects rather then switching them to defense.
