Forum:Dragon/C. Bomb deck

I'm using, at least trying to use, a deck built around Cemetery Bomb and Dragons, most notably Red and Blue eyes. I need some help reconstructing my deck as I built it with what I had at the time, and I really don't know that many cards to even know what would make better alternatives. (pardon if this topic has errors, I've never wrote in a wiki before so I'm clueless on the formatting.)

First, reduce your Deck to somewhere between 40-43 cards. This means taking out any card that has too niche a use that it doesn't benefit you in most situations, unless they're integral parts of your combo. Then, find more copies of the cards that work with your overall strategy.

Now, since you're going to fill the Graveyard a bit, it would be good if you have cards that do the job. These include Dragon Shrine and Foolish Burial, which help increase the damage you do with Cemetary Bomb. The traditional dump-and-revive Dragons will also use a load of cards that revive what you dumped, like Silent Doom, Birthright, or Silver's Cry, in order to circumvent the usual Tribute Summon restrictions.

Meshing Blue-Eyes with Red-Eyes is generally not recommended due to the archetypes generally being rather name-specific and refusing to interact or support with outsiders. Blue-Eyes currently has more diverse support available (what with its own Structure Deck, among others), though this doesn't stop you from running the ever-favoured Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 08:01, March 10, 2014 (UTC)

Maybe try putting in quick toss cards that do things like Gold Sarcophagus (etc). Try fitting in a Malefic Blue-Eyes? Possibly put in stall cards like Bacon Saver or Necro Gardna. Definitely put in 3 C. Bombs though. Zector1114

Personally, I'd like to stick with Red Eyes along with Blue Eyes, I can't figure out how to show my extra deck, but it contains Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Black Skull Dragon, Five Headed Dragon, Light End Dragon, Dark End Dragon, and Azure-Eyed Silver Dragon and being another normal dragon Red Eyes helps me out with graveyard summoning and Red Eyes Darkness Dragon.

As for shrinking my deck, I would appreciation some advice on what I don't need, as I had a VERY hard time just getting my deck to fit within the 60 card limit and have no clue how to make it down to 40. I figure I could probably go without the gadgets since they're really nothing more than stallers till I draw better cards, but that aside I'm not sure what else isn't needed. I'd like to keep Dark Magician for the heck of it, but I'll admit with Burst Stream of Destruction his purpose is repetitive so I can go without him if it's necessary. I thought of Malefic Blue Eyes and was originally going to put both Malefic Red and Blue in my deck till I came across a post somewhere saying both were useless cards. 05:31, March 11, 2014 (UTC)

If your going to keep Red and Blue-Eyes then put in a Inferno Fire Blast for quick damage and an extra card for cemetery bomb. Zector1114 (talkcontribs) 15:09, March 11, 2014 (UTC)

Took out the Gadgets and their respective trap card, Dark Magician and Diffusion Wave-Motion, Vortex Trooper, and Castle Walls. Added Morphing Jar, Simultaneous Loss, Gold Sarcophagus, and Inferno Fire Blast. 21:14, March 11, 2014 (UTC)

Still losing big time...what else can I do to improve my deck? I know I'm hurting myself by refusing to use xyz, or anything newer than 5Ds, (even though I have 3 synchros I try not to use them). How can I shrink my deck and still stand a chance? REVEN-TULF (talkcontribs) 04:00, March 12, 2014 (UTC)

Think about your general strategy, and then focus on it. Try to get as many copies of cards that further your strategy for consistency, and reduce copies of cards that turn out to be dead draws. Only throw in miscellaneous cards when you're short of 40 cards, or if you've spotted a glaring weakness and need to cover that. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 08:30, March 12, 2014 (UTC) REVEN-TULF (talkcontribs) 05:31, March 13, 2014 (UTC)

Changed some monster a bit to focus more on drawing and supporting Blue Eyes and Red Eyes, as well as adding Call of the Haunted, tried to remove some of the situational cards, still not anywhere near 40 count though, but given the repeats I'm hoping it won't be a problem. A couple of questions. Are you able or want to shell out money for new/different cards? And are you focused on playing Advanced format (i.e. not using banned cards)? ---Kungfu-mama (Talk) 21:14, March 13, 2014 (UTC)
