Get out those monsters...!

Dude, if you want a competitive Dragon deck, you have to get out the dragon dwelling in the cave (only good DEF), rare metal dragon (very hard to summon), spirit ryu, winged dragon gaurdian of the fortress #1, hyozanryu, magna slash dragon (don't need any of those). I have a Dragon deck too, and I suggest you to get at least 2-3 Masked Dragon. There´s better monsters outhere, like the Armed Dragon series, and the Horus series, Genesis Dragon, and really cool Dragon- Type Synchro Monsters like Stardust and Red Dragon Archfiend, and Black Rose Dragon... But if you're running Fusion Monsters in your Extra Deck, get out Polymerization, and get some Future Fusion. Jaguero92 05:42, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

Think about this

I would suggest taking out the following monsters:

-1 1x blue eyes shining dragon

-1 1x red-eyes black dragon

-1 1x red eyes darkness dragon

-2 2x the dragon dwelling in the cave

-2 2x spear dragon

-1 1x element dragon

-1 1x rare metal dragon

-1 1x spirit ryu

-1 1x winged dragon guardian of the fortress #1

-1 1x magna slash dragon

-1 1x luster dragon

-1 1x twin headed behemoth

-1 1x luster dragon #2

-1 1x hyozanryu

-1 1x lord of D.

Monsters I would use instead (choose the ones you like)

• Masked Dragon 2-3x
• Koa'ki Meiru Drago 2x
• Divine Dragon Ragnarok 2x (if you to choose include King Dragun in your extra/fusion deck)
• The Dark - Hex-Sealed Fusion (to help summon out King Dragun]]
• King Dragun (see the comments on the above 2 cards)
• 1 addtional Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
• Red-Eyes Wyvern 1-2x (gotta love the way this gets REDMD out)
• Totem Dragon 2x Helps to get your big monsters out. Great in an all-dragon deck
• Prime Material Dragon
• Genesis Dragon (repopulates your deck. Great with Yamata Dragon)
• Dark Horus
• Infernal Dragon (works well with Dark Horus)
• The White Stone of Legend 3x (brings Blue-Eyes to your hand and allows synchro summoning)
• Magna Drago 2-3x (allows synchro summoning)
• Decoy Dragon

Spells you definitely need to look into using:

• Future Fusion
• Dragon's Mirror
• Monster Gate
• Foolish Burial (gets Wyvern into the graveyard fast)
• Trade-In (dump off high-level monsters)
• Gold Sarcophagus - if you can afford it. Helps to ensure you get Future Fusion (or something else you really need) into your hand.
• Hand Destruction - helps get you to the cards you want/need.

• Not a problem. Just remember, these cards are suggestions. You'll need to pick out the combinations that work best for you. Keep your deck down to as close to 40 cards as possible. And if you decide to use Koa'ki Meiru Drago, make sure he is NOT on the field when you bring out REDMD. He can really limit you if he is.

• Other thoughts regarding Spells and Traps. I'd think about dropping the following in favor of the ones I listed above:

-1x the flute of summoning dragon

-1x axe of dispair

-1x reload

-1x polymerization

-1x megamorph

-1x mountain

-1x red medicine

-1x creature swap

-1x barrel behind the door

-1x jar of greed

-1x sakuretsu armor

-1x dust tornado

-1x draining shield

-1x destruct potion

-1x defense draw

• Think about using some of these traps also:
• Mirror Force 1x
• Trap Dustshoot or Bottomless Trap Hole (1-2)
• Torrential Tribute 1x
• Call of the Haunted 1x
• Return from the Different Dimension
• Threatening Roar
• Trap Hole
• Dimensional Prison
• Compulsory Evacuation Device

• Again, you won't want all of these. Just pick the ones you can afford or have or like.
