Dragunity archtype release on recent structure deck realy cought my attention so i'm gonna try it out. When i check the page for this archtype, also read their card effect, i'm wondering about certain thing:

1)Can i activate Dragunity Aklys effect if i use it as a cost to special summon Dragunity Arms Misteil?
2)Can i choose the same monster i use as a cost to special summon Dragunity Arms Misteil and equip to it?
3)Can i select the Dragunity monster equip to the monster i use as cost to special summon Dragunity Arms Laevatein and equip to it?
4)Can i use Dragunity monster on the magic and trap zone as a cost for Dragunity Darkspear effect?
5)If i use Dragunity Primus Pilus effect, can i choose it as a target for the selected equip monster? In case i didn't have another Dragunity monster on the field
6)Does the Dragunity monster on the magic and trap zone also treat as monster? In case i wan to use a card that need a monster as a cost, can i choose the monster on the magic and trap zone instead?

Sorry for the trouble since i'm realy klutz about this archtype effect and play-style. I appreciate any reply =3

1) You can't even special summon Dragunity Arms Misteil by sending Dragunity Aklys to the graveyard because it is no longer treated as a monster while it is equipped to a monster.

2) Yes, you can equip the same monster that you used to special summon it from the hand.

3) Yes.

4) No, you have to tribute a Dragon-Type Dragunity monster for its effect. Once monsters are equipped to another monster, they are no longer considered as Monster Cards, they are treated as Equip Spell Cards.

5) Yes, you can target Primus Pilus for its own effect.

6) As all the answers above, monsters that are equipped to another monster and placed in the Spell and Trap Card Zone are no longer treated as Monster Cards. They are treated as Equip Spell Cards.-- HHTurtle  (Talk) 14:53, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

WOW THANKS MAN! You realy help me out =3 ( duh, why i can't even think about different between monster zone and magic and trap zone..^^" )

Oh yeah mind if i add another question?
* Did Dragunity Arms Laevatein-Light and Darkness Dragon loop realy work? Didn't Light and Darkness Dragon effect said that it can't be special summon? (or in this case it didn't consider as special summon?)
* Does Light and Darkness Dragon 3rd effect (which negate monster, magic and trap effect) activated even in the magic and trap zone? (it's said "While this card face-up on the field..")

1) I don't know what is the "Dragunity Arms Laevatein-Light and Darkness Dragon loop" exactly! When Dragunity Arms Laevatein is Summoned you can target Light and Darkness Dragon in the Graveyard and treat it as an equip Spell Card, but when Dragunity Arms Laevatein is sent to the Graveyard, Light and Darkness Dragon cannot be Special Summoned.
2) No, as a Spell Card, Light and Darkness Dragon does not have its effects.

the loop is to summon Laevatein, equip it with LaDD and when Laevatein is sent to the grave it is special summoned by LaDDs effect. And then LaDD is again equipped to it. So basicly something that returns everytime when one or both cards leave the field. And yes, that really works, see its card tips -dest- (talkcontribs) 20:55, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

The loop does not involve special summoning LADD, you use Dragunity Arms Levaetein's effect to equip it with a LADD already in the graveyard and when Levaetein is destroyed so is LADD. You use LADD's trigger effect to summon Levaetin and then you use Levaetein's effect to equip it with LADD.--DarwinDawkins09 (talkcontribs) 20:58, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Well, the thing is: isn't Light and Darkness Dragon effect target the monster in the graveyard 1st, then destroy all field card and special summon it? Is it work if the Light and Darkness Dragon equipped to Dragunity Arms Laevatein are destroy by card effect instead of Dragunity Arms Laevatein getting destroy 1st? Or i need another Dragunity Arms Laevatein in my graveyard for this loop to work? NoobYugiohPlayer Lanspearsaber (talkcontribs) 18:58, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Lets say that you have Dragunity Arms Laevatein on your side on the field equipped with Light and Darkness Dragon. Then something destroys Dragunity Arms Laevatein. Light and Darkness Dragon is destroyed as well simultaneously. Light and Darkness Dragon's effect activates in the Graveyard and targets Dragunity Arms Laevatein. Then it destroys all cards on the field and Special Summon Dragunity Arms Laevatein. Then Dragunity Arms Laevatein's effect activates and equips Light and Darkness Dragon to itself again. Back to the start!
Lets say that you have Dragunity Arms Laevatein on your side on the field equipped with Light and Darkness Dragon. Then something destroys Light and Darkness Dragon. Light and Darkness Dragon's effect activates in the Graveyard and since Dragunity Arms Laevatein isn't in the Graveyard yet it cannot target it. When it destroys all cards on the field it is too late to target Dragunity Arms Laevatein now. So this one requires another Dragunity Arms Laevatein in the Graveyard in order to work.

Okay say you had Dragunity Arma Leyvaten, and he is equipped with LaDD (Light and Darkness Dragon) and a Stardust Dragon. Leyvaten is destroyed and LaDDs effect starts going, but instead of destroying you negate with Stardust Dragon's effect. Stardust Dragon goes to the graveyard. Do you continue with the loop afterwards and Special Summon Leyvaten, equip LaDD, and at the end phase Special Summon Stardust Dragon? —This unsigned comment was made by 69.130.72.143 (talkcontribs) 15:29, March 19, 2012 (UTC)

  • On Talk Pages and Forum Pages, it's a good practice to sign your posts. You can do that by adding four tildes (~~~~) to the end of your post and it will automatically create a signature for you when you click 'Publish'. "When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, select 1 monster in your Graveyard. Then destroy all cards you control, and Special Summon that monster." is 1 Trigger Effect. Stardust Dragon negated the whole 1 effect. The part that Special Summons is also negated as it is part of that 1 effect.
