Just wondering, but was the point to win with Exodia? Just to be honest, Agents, probably aren't the deck for that. Plus, you need to have 2-3 Gachi Gachi Gantetsu to stall, and a few The Agent of Mystery - Earth to search out Venus. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:38, May 30, 2013 (UTC)

Yes. It was and is meant to meeting the forbidden one's win condition. And I respectfully disagree, as she (venus & ms-balls) allows for many uses including significant deck thinning, (generally of particular concern in an exodia build) WEG fodder, (again thinning & drawing to thin further) and not least of all, XYZ material for.. yes, gachi gachi. But more importantly, (in this particular deck & a mainstay in most of my fairy builds when it arrives in JOTL) it brings forth "Herald of Faithful Light" which can add ANY 1 monster from the graveyard to the hand. (certainly not un-useful in most decks that utilize monster cards) The returning of 1 card in the hand to the deck portion of it's (HOFL) effect, while at first may seem unappealing, can be used in helpful ways, for instance, to return a "Winged Kuriboh" to the deck otherwise not s-summonable per "The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh" (due to no remaining w-kuris in the deck), or to return a "Stardust Dragon Assault Mode" back to the deck where it should be. (I realize the obscure reference, just an example). And of course, this goes without saying, but should a piece of the ONE be buried in the grave, HOFL can retrieve it, most importantly without the aid of a spell/trap card. So, ANY monster in the your deck should you want/need, are given access to simply by including "foolish burial" or similar effects to send monster(s) to your graveyard and/or by virtue of the natural course of a duel. (monster targets in the grave) Though Venus being the issue, HOFL will regardless be an integral part of her success as a monster card and in fact the very reason HOFL is so easily summonable to begin with. (likley by design for her & ms-balls) Aside from the liability of being BTH-able upon summon with her printed stats, "The Agent of Creation Venus" is IMO one of, if not THE most underrated (non-tribute) monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh. She (venus) can also be used for a "Number 96: Dark Mist", which provides a way to topple most opponent's monsters, can be used during either players turn, and serves as a fiend type monster for the trap negating effect in my "Splendid Scourge" deck, though rarely used. I am curious to know if your reason for pointing out venus being in this version of my forbidden one deck was due to the fact she is an agent, and therefore must be put to use in an agent themed deck, or because you disapprove of what I assume you would refer to as "spamming"? (which IMO is the core of deck building in Yu-Gi-Oh and has been since I started dueling, & primarily this which makes for fun. This, and those to duel with or against) I should mention my inclusion of "Dimensional Alchemist" was on a whim and not generally used in my old build. Lastly, simply viewing a decklist versus actually dueling with it are worlds apart, and this should (IMO) be taken into consideration upon initial viewing. In reality, the person building the deck, more likely than not, has a considerably better understanding (with relation to the specific "combos" therein) than does an on-looker viewing it as text on a page. My intent is not to offend you, (if I have) and this colossal wall of text was birthed from my flabberghasted state due to your initial question regarding my use of "The Agent of Creation Venus". I genuinely would like to hear your response, and thank you for putting up with such a long-winded response. (which I absolutely felt was neccessary)

I neglected to mention that which should have been obvious to me in my last post, as this was my build, that venus also serves (as do the other fairies in the deck) for "Cards from the Sky", (draws/thins) which in turn puts them in the zone of banishment (if you will) and are re-summonable per "Miraculous Descent" and retrievable both from banishment & the graveyard with the effects of "Dimensional Alchemist" and "Herald of Faithful Light". The following scenario will further illustrate how these cards can be used where d- alchemist & w-kuri gain the effects. (respectively) For instance, if either is banished and my opponent activates "Mystical Space Typhoon" or "Nobleman of Extermination" (and nothing else), and I in turn chain "Miraculous Descent" s-summoning one of the 2. After the chain resolves, whichever of the 2 was attached to this trap would be destroyed and sent to the graveyard, at which time (as this would be the last thing that happened) I can activate d-alchemist's effect to add 1 removed from play monster to my hand, or mandatorily triggereing w-kuri's battle damage protecting effect.

"...Venus can be used to make Number 96..."
Error: Venus is LV3; No.96 is Rank 2.
Commentary: I think the usage of Venus and Mystical Shine Balls is indicative of an Agent core engine, which Dark Ace believes is not as well suited to winning with Exodia compared to other engines (like, say, Mystic Piper and Kinka-byo).
Addendum: Please invest in more paragraph breaks. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 01:20, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

correction: When I stated she (Venus) could be used to summon Number 96: Dark Mist, I was referring to her ability to s-summon 3 (lv 2) MSBs, then XYZ summon (rank 2). Also, I did not say she (Venus) was not indicitive of an agent engine, merely commenting on his questioning of it's use in this particular build. (Venus is an obvious fit and does great work there)

Aside from a handful of as yet unreleased cards, (ex:HOFL) as I have stated before, I generally do not include cards I do not currently own. I am aware of Mystic piper and it's fit an an ETFO build. However, I do not own any. I do agree regarding piper's fit in an ETFO build, and would probably use this in addition to my other, as it is likely more effective than most. Lastly, your suggesstion has been noted, and will be put into action.

Thank You
