HI~I CAME ACROSS THIS QUESTION FEW DAYS BACK~ FIRST, YANG ZING IS THE BEST EXAMPLE I COULD GIVE ALTHOUGH THERE ARE SOME OTHER EXAMPLES OUT THERE~

MY QUESTION IS , THE KIND OF EFFECT LIKE "A MONSTER SYNCHRO/TRIBUTE/RITUAL/EXCEED SUMMONED USING XXXXX CARD AS MATERIAL GAIN XXXXX EFFECT"

1) DOES THIS KIND OF EFFECT STARTS A CHAIN? 2) COULD THIS KIND OF EFFECT BEING NEGATED?IF YES, BY WHAT? 3) THE EFFECT APPLIED ON THE SUMMONED MONSTER,IS IT CONSIDERS AS THE SUMMONED MONSTER EFFECT OR THE MATERIAL'S EFFECT? 4) THIS KIND OF EFFECT ACTIVATES AND RESOLVE AT WHERE? 5) WHAT IS THE KEYWORD TO KNOW WHICH OF THIS KIND OF EFFECT COULD BE NEGATED AND WHICH COULD NOT? First off, lose the caps - and don't apologize about it in caps.
Yang Zing "buff" effects don't start a chain; there's no semi-colon or colon in them (;) and (:). Xyz Material effects may be different though. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 06:34, March 4, 2016 (UTC)
"A MONSTER SYNCHRO/TRIBUTE/RITUAL/EXCEED SUMMONED USING XXXXX CARD AS MATERIAL GAIN XXXXX EFFECT"
You're being too broad here. There's different categories. If "Gagaga Girl" is used a Material, the effect to reduce a monster's ATK to 0 does start a Chain as the effect of the Xyz Monster. If "Bixi, Water of the Yang Zing" is used as a Synchro Material, the effect that makes the Summoned monster unable to be affected by Trap effects does not start a Chain. In this case, you can tell by the presence of a colon (:) in the effect of "Gagaga Girl" and the lack of one in the effect of "Bixi". If you ask about specific cards, people should be able to give you more specific answers. --SnorlaxMonster 07:02, March 4, 2016 (UTC)
1. It depends on the effect. Any effect with a semicolon or colon does, others don't.
2. This is a really interesting question. Basically, it boils down to two categories of effects - Lingering effects and those that change the effect of a monster. Examples of the first kind would be the Djinns of Rituals, while examples of the second kind would be monsters that grant their effects to monsters when they are used as Xyz Materials, such as "Gagaga Girl". Lingering effects cannot be negated - the effect is no longer active, so to speak, even if it is still affecting the state of play (as an example, you can't negate a "Scapegoat" that was activated several turns ago and is already in the Graveyard to get rid of the Tokens). In the other case, nothing can stop an effect that grants another effect to a monster, however the new effect can be negated (example: You can't negate "Gagaga Girl"'s effect that grants an Xyz Monster a new effect, but you could use a card like "Skill Drain" to negate the effect of that monster). There's a nuance here - if your negation card only works against Effect Monsters, it cannot be used against non-Effect Monsters given effects by other means. (example: I Xyz Summon "Gem-Knight Pearl" using "Heroic Challenger - Extra Sword". Although Pearl now has an effect, it's not an Effect Monster, so this effect cannot be negated by "Fiendish Chain"). There are a select few effects that truly "activate" (ie use a Chain Link) when the monster is used as a Material, and these can be negated by cards like "Soul Drain".
3. If the effect is treated as the Summoned monster's effect, it will say so. Otherwise it's considered the effect of the monster used as a Material. Example: If "Old Entity Chthugha" is used as a Fusion Material, its effect to draw a card is treated as its own effect. However, if used as Xyz Material, it grants this effect to the Summoned monster.
4. Lingering effects don't "activate" or "resolve" anywhere - they simply happen, for want of a better word. Trigger effects that activate when a monster is used as a Material activate and resolve wherever the monster is - so if I use "Fluffal Cat" as a Fusion Material Monster and sent it to the Graveyard to do so, that's where its effect will activate and resolve. If a monster is granted a new effect, that effect activates and resolves on the field.
5. There's no keyword. Look for colons or semi-colons to identify Trigger effects from lingering ones, and keep in mind everything above.

Battlemaniac is correct in addressing your question, but said one thing offhandedly that is not correct. If "Gem-Knight Pearl" gains an effect from an Xyz Material, it becomes an Effect Monster and can be targeted by "Fiendish Chain". (See page 55 of the Perfect Rulebook.) --SnorlaxMonster 08:02, March 5, 2016 (UTC)
